Limited spectators for the Pure Silk Kingsmill Championship. Basically you have to be staying on property, live on property, pay $200, or be invited by a player. Luckily I fit into the last one so I'll be there Sunday :)
Limited yes but it's still bringing crowds into the area. Trust me I seen it the last two days.

A quick question about parking. Have they been parking people on Germany at park opening? What are our chances of parking on France if we arrive between 9:15-9:30?

How large of a vehicle does one need to park on a country as opposed to in it? 🤔

I have always seen them fill France first then move to Germany but I also am never around on Saturday mornings so I can't say if that practice holds true to days that are known to be extremely busy.

Did Busch increase capacity..? The line to get into the front gate is the longest I have seen in 2 years. Not to mention the line is moving extremely slow.

As someone who will be landing in the park in about 20 days or so, it's these next couple weeks that I have been looking forward to; that is, to see how things evolve after the F/W festival. Positive to see a slow trickle of new rides/attractions opening.

Locally, Cedar Point recently announced $20/hour for every new hire (which is unheard of, and should tell you everything about the current hiring situation). I hope the employee hunt down in Virginia is going better than it is up here in Ohio.

It's a struggle everywhere. Lots of stories lately of places offering $15-20/hour, hiring someone, then they no show on the day they are supposed to work. I mentioned it a few times now but throwing money at the issue isn't working.

Probably better to do signing bonuses or time of service bonuses than try and outbid a dollar or two more per hour.

From Italy or from Germany? This is the First I heard of Italy being used.
Pretty sure it was Italy cause my son was making up stupid names about it and made fun of me when I said we're on the Ireland lot.

We got there around 5:30pm after the Water Country pre-view day along with the 5pm - close crowd.
Below is the path they made us walk.

Yep that is definitely Italy I was just surprised that the use of it hadn't been mentioned by anyone before.

Tomorrow is BGW round 2.... will it be less busy than last Thursday? Was food and wine festival what brought everyone out? I’m going with two childhood friends and BGW veterans... I’m gonna be the sober chaperone. Not sure how that’s going to go. One of these friends is the one who passed out in front of land of the dragons from drinking too much and people were stepping over him. Haven’t been hanging out with my old friends while sober yet. Let’s see what happens.

It should be a LITTLE less busy, although the weird 3pm start sort of makes it a bit busier on average than if they opened at 10am. Hoping for the best!

Don't expect it to be much less crowded than last Thursday. The crowds tonight were surprisingly large. If you want to ride Vbolt, do it as early as possible.

The fact that more attractions are operating seemingly by the day helps a lot, but people are really turning out to BGW in droves right now.

So I ended up going yesterday and the crowds weren’t bad, walked on to almost every coaster!

Something strange did happen though. So, on Apollo’s and Griffin there was an employee at the station directing people to ensure social distancing on the ride amongst different parties. However, on Alpengeist a weird social situation went down. I was in line with two of my other friends, so we were a party of 3. A man and his wife in line behind us taps on my shoulder and asks “is it just the 3 of you? Is it okay if I go ahead of you since it’s just two of them in front of you?” And he points to a different couple in front of me. I say “I’m not sure if they’re trying to socially distance... you can ask them if they’re okay with it, that’s sort of up to them” and the guy looked completely bewildered and got snippy with me “Really....? The seats are just going to get wasted!” I said “... dude, I’m cool with you going ahead I’m just said with covid you need to ask them if they’re okay with it”, and the two people in front of me said “... uh... we don’t care?” And acted weird about it.

so IMMEDIATELY after this, a single rider sees it’s just 3 of us in my group and without asking us, jumps in front of some people to get on with us directly next to us. I talked to the guy on the ride, he was cool I just let him know “hey man, we don’t really care because we’re vaccinated but it’s kinda a bad social queue just to get on directly next to people” and he got super offended.

I mostly was confused about the two couples though, like I thought the people in front of me would have appreciated me making sure they asked them before letting them in front of me but everyone treated me like I was overreacting... weird

I rode Alpie yesterday solo and two young girls boarded my row, but they came up and asked me if it was okay first. I was actually pretty impressed by their courtesy. Plus there was an empty seat between us and they still asked.
