it might happen if your command's medical officer sees your shot card while you are getting your flu shot and notices that you have not gotten the "required" small pox and anthrax series and sends you go base medical where the doctor sees that you could deploy to Africa and decides you need everything.... Just as an example...

I've had the Anthrax series and let me tell you that your arm has never hurt so bad in your life from the first (worst) and second one of the series, which is six, that you'll never complain about a Covid or flu shot again in your life!

Still dont see it opening. This is what I see happening, restrictions lifted and they test the waters to see if crowds return without Pantheon. If they do theres no need to open it and rather save it for later when they can bring in more crowds for it. Unless they fully open and they have low turnout they dont need it.

I fail to see what special program they have to pull crowds in over summer, other than the fact that they are open.

The "summer nights" program doesn't really sound that great so far considering how late the park has been open the past weeks anyways.
And there are no real membership benefits for June listed.

At the moment I don't see much of a point in going there next month beyond the general "ordinary" BGW experience.

I mean yeah, let’s say it all goes to plan and BGW can open June 15 no problem. Will all the rides even be open not counting pantheon? At the rate BGW is going, we’ll be lucky if anything’s even changed

We're on track for an end to capacity restrictions and social distancing by June 15th!

Just to make sure I understand correctly:
If this happened, Busch Gardens would be fully open to the public, no reservations required. There also wouldn’t be social distancing, and only masks would still be enforced.

Hypothetical questions:
1. I’m guessing that BGW would still have to check for temperatures, though?
2. Does this mean we could expect a more normal HOS, not Halloween Harvest?

Yes, that would be the ideal, but BGW will probably have their own plan

Temperature checks are going away at KD, and they’ll be gone at BGW by then too. They’ve always been a fairly bad indicator of risk - I’d actually love to know the numbers on how many people were ever refused entry based on temperature.

Temp checks may already be gone. I think @Thomas is going to check on that today.

Reservations may stick around. There is talk of some parks keeping them for operational reasons—I'm sure that discussion is being had at BGW too. Reservations already aren't actually required—it's just a lot less likely that you'll be able to get in on a busy day if you don't have them.

As for HOS, yes, a more normal HOS is definitely planned for this year from what I understand.

Wow, I had no idea that reservations weren't actually required anymore. Of course, I would imagine I would need to make a reservation for the most popular days like Friday through Sunday, but, technically, I wouldn’t have to if I just decided to up and go on a Monday?

Mix bag some are mad that they are gone and predicting a "outbreak" is going to happen. Some are mad that they got rid of temp checks but kept mask (which yes the state still requires the park to have) Some are celebrating the departure.

I'm going to carry this one step further. Yes, temperature checks are gone. Went tonight and can verify that. However, you still walk through the same way you have been since this started. Now it's just an empty tent. They don't even have the equipment still in place even if they wanted to bring it back. I guess that brings a couple of questions up. They still have the metal detector screening adjacent to the tent. Why/when will they move that back to the front gate where it was before covid? I see no reason to continue the whole "tent city" concept if the temp screening is gone.

Then, I guess the biggest issue I have is if ( A BIG IF) BGW doesn't hire a whole lot of people over the next few weeks how do they intend to accommodate something like 30K people with their current staffing? I understand from talking to employees that BGW is using an employment firm and that is not really working out. They think they have problems now?

I would also like to add that you may not need reservations but every time I have gone through the parking tollbooths I have been asked and had to show my reservations. Not sure why and it just slows things down but I have been asked. Also been asked my zip code. I just don't get why that is necessary either. I just don't think BGW is anywhere near prepared to fully open. Just my 2 cents worth.

I think that social distancing still makes it likely that security screenings will continue where they are as not to bunch people up as much in the narrower entrance area. Also while I have been asked about reservations at the toll plaza I have not had to show it there. As a matter of fact when I got to the park today I realized I had accidentally reserved the wrong day and still had no issues getting in with just my pass.

Actually saw 3 cars turned around at the tollbooth and took the crossover and left. First few times we went nobody questioned about reservations. The past 2 times they have asked not only if we have them but wanted to see them. Thought it was weird but just went along with it.

As far as distancing? It's pretty non-existent at this point. At the park entrance and any queue lines I have been in recently. I've literally been bumped into in line just like it was pre-covid. The only thing I see different between now and pre-covid is mask wearing. Most people do and I haven't seen an employee in weeks ask somebody to put their mask back on.

Today was without a doubt the least amount of people I seen since this started. Definitely no crowd and lines with maybe 2 or 3 people at most.
