I'm of the opinion that they should stay shut down. However if they were to open in any capacity, then they would absolutely need to do so as opposed to not doing anything at all.
Agreed, but how far does this go? Doesn’t this apply to every flat? Are ops going to hop into the log on Le Scoot after each ride? Will conductors have to wipe down every bench on the railroad at every station?
It seems like it doesn’t end. Are guests really going to be satisfied if they only open the coasters and a few other rides?
If every rider was provided hand sanitizer right before getting on the rides, that would remove the need to clean every cycle, though frequent cleaning should still occur.

Concur. It starts to look more and more like an argument for parks to remain closed.
I’m not arguing that the parks should be reopened soon. I’m arguing that if they are, operations are going to look wildly unlike anything we’ve seen before.
I'd put with that citation needed, and this is personal experience, that most stores around me have taken to limiting number of people in the store at a time (I was in line at target this morning and they are at 50 customers at a time). Checkout is very slow because they are only using 2 self checkouts at a time (so the other can have time to dry). Publix has all but required everyone to do 'touchless checkout' (card tap method, Apple Pay, Android Pay). Kroger encouraged me to take the 'self checkout scanner' which they clean between uses, and with this one you just scan everything you picked up, the cashier checks what you got, then do touchless checkout. In fact I'll say the worse one I've seen in response so far is Walmart: They closed a door, are using water to wipe carts, have someone handing out carts causing a backup at the door, and are only using self checkout but have half the lanes are closed.
I’m actually really concerned about coasters with OTSRs. Having two huge foamy blocks just inches from your face, with people screaming and spitting all over them, sounds like the worst possible situation.
Y'all are talking rides. What about the food places? Like I imagined, Festhaus would be a nightmare. Or (serious question) does that single building fall into the "larger than 500 seats and can't be open" category?
Another issue that we won’t see until way down the road is side effects of all these chemicals. I watched a guy at Hone Depot with a pump sprayer spraying carts, with no mask. What’s he spraying? I know many businesses now are buying anything they can find on Amazon with little research, if it says it will kill Covid they will buy it. There are so many fakes on Amazon right now and so many things that all the packaging is all in Chinese. Again, if they would just install a couple hand washing stations at the store exit that would be better than all this chemical spraying. For dining locations at BGW a hand wash station could really be effective.
Golf courses that are open have gone to grab and go. I think BGW would need to do the same. Maybe fixed price menu for a boxed meal or something else easy to safely serve. Customers purchase online or on an app to avoid payment contact.

Well, at golf courses you are on a cart, or walking and playing. Unless BGW did all sandwiches, chips, fruit, and a drink that you can easily eat one handed, you would need to sit anyways. Each round I've played since the shutdown, I've gotten that combo. And the only reason I've done it is because I use a push cart so I have somewhere to put all that stuff. I imagine a place like BGW would need seating somewhere for people that don't want to fumble around with that.

A lot of the newer credit cards are "tap and go", so that would eliminate that aspect of "contact". But what about cash transactions?

Definitely think we're going to see less "open" grab and go, but I bet we see an uptick in packaged items like that. I would expect meals to go up in price due to that (extra labor).
Cash transactions. I think we're going to still have to have them. There will be (just my opinion) an encouragement to preload memberships with cash, buy meals on the tickets ahead of time (single day meal plans), or day of 'gift cards' that you can purchase with cash early on before entering. I think for the tap and go/Apple Pay/android pay options BGW might need to update their terminals. I can't remember if they are able to or not.
When I use Apple Pay I still have to use a pin code so I still have to touch the stupid thing....makes no sense. I can see them going cashless though. Disney is....well was doing it at certain resorts.
Then something is wrong with they Apple Pay setup. I've never had to do anything than still enter my code on my phone or just look at it to use Apple Pay. Never once touched a stores pad.
Attached is an example for Clorox wipes.
The instruction says to let it sit for 4 minutes after wiping it down.
I'm sure there are more aggressive cleaners available but sitting time will always be a factor.
