Ok changing this subject slightly. I saw my first post this afternoon on a Williamsburg group from a BGW employee that needed help. She been seasonal to seasonal not just Busch but other jobs with the park closed though she out income and had children to horse and care for. The out pouring of help that I saw was quite touching. Let's make sure we remember those that don't qualify for the support Busch is offering.

My point in mentioning Disney is I really think SEAS will closely watch DIS and not open until they do, closing their program housing and sending folks home is a huge sign.

Just like how SEAS closely watched Disney and closed in a reasonable amount of time following Disney's announcement? {Sarcasm}

Well if you want to go by that theory when WDW announces it’s reopening we know when the SEAS announcement will come (Sarcasm)

All I'm saying is the fact that Seas was the last major park to close at least makes it seem reasonable to think that they may not feel married to whatever decisions that the mouse makes.

I've listened to enough of their quarterly earnings reports to know that they often make a point to say (in more business friendly words) they don't give a rats arse what Disney or universal are doing.

I think SEAS was the last because they didn’t want to close and loose money unless there was absolutely no way around it. And to say that don’t look up to the mouse.....they send teams to Disney to look at operations and how the mouse does things. They may say they don’t care but they do.

Uhhh...every park does this with each other. Car brands do it. Electronics brands do it. Opposition research is a very important part of any companies business.

As for how BGW/SEAS decide to come out of this; I wouldn’t hold my breath on them using Disney as a guide. Disney has much larger daily crowds, people staying in hotels on property, much larger staff. BGW might decide to open April 1st and possibly do member only for a few days to manage crowd size. Maybe they do the Music in the Park only and don’t open to the GP. That’s something that Disney can’t really do because it’s hard to justify to people that came on vacation that yes they are on property but no you can’t come in. They can’t chose to just open one or two parks because that will cause those parks to have larger crowds.

In fact I wouldn’t be shocked if Disney and Orlando are the last ones to open and regional parks are the first ones to open.

I would think it would be the opposite....O town first then others will follow. The regional parks aren’t the main business for the states they are in where as Central florida is all tourism.

Time will tell, but I don't see the busiest, most crowded, highest volume places being what opens first. Especially with what we know about this virus so far. It's going to be smaller parks that have an easier job managing numbers that will open first.

Just to give you an idea of how crazy and not thought through the closer was. I am enjoying lunch and cake curtiousy of the parks non canceled order at the moment.

That cake mighta been worth some money.. could held it for auction at the next ACE event
Well we have like 8 of them so I could snag one. But in all seriousness they were prepped Friday morning before the park decided to close so it would have been to late to cancel and we are seeing this quite a bit. My favorite was the rush order of 200 subs that called back 2 hrs later to cancel.

Can you all sell those cakes to other customers now? If so, what flavor are they and how much do they cost? ?
Technically there is nothing prohibiting us from doing so but as a practice it gets written off as an employee morale expense and goes into the break room. Which is kind of a nice up lift given all the stress lately. For the record it's split half and half between yellow and chocolate cake.

Actually edit on that since Busch supplied their own artwork we actually wouldn't be able to resale in this case hadn't thought about that till I relooked at them on break.
