I think you have to ask, though, if it's true that KD has problems getting enough staff, and I guess it is, then do we really want more rides? Then other rides are going to have to be shut down. It seems like a lose-lose situation. They have to remove rides to be able to add rides, in order to have the staff to operate them. So part of the discussion should be, what do they take out to make a new ride possible?

Before someone says Anaconda, how about scrambler?

They better not touch Scrambler! Scramblers may not be the most unique attraction, but they’re the quintessential family ride in my opinion, and I believe every park should have one. Plus, rides with low maintenance, high uptime, few required operators, and a wide demographic appeal are exactly what KD needs to keep onboard right now.

You do not remove scramblers, you MOVE them. They are all nomadic by nature.
Second to the Flying Eagles, the scrambler is the most internally relocated ride within the park.
1) Started in Safari Village 76 - 80
2) Intl Street 81- late 80's
3) CAG late 80's - 91
4) Safari Village early 90's - present.

Sorry, I don't remember the exact years once the scrambler left I-Street.

They definitely need to move Scrambler AND they definitely better not remove it. I love the Scrambler!

Is anyone here nostalgic for Wave Swinger? I don’t know if it was ever more exciting, but today it hardly gets off the ground. Personally, if I had to make the decision to remove any existing ride, I would choose that one over anything else mentioned so far.

Speaking of Wave Swinger - The rides board panel was replaced by Hurlers board panel in 2018.

To be honest, I find it kinda interesting that one can look through the window in the middle since it appears to have been an old traveling model that was made permanent.

Otherwise, this is one of those things where I think it fits well inside of CAG's lineup and helps provide an intermediate ride for those too big for Planet Snoopy but aren't brave enough for some of the larger rides.

So I didn't want to create a new thread for this, but I had an interesting idea this morning:

When it comes to KD the common (now two) holes in their lineup is they don't have a hyper, and now they don't have an inverted. So I bring about two ideas:

Hyper-coaster idea: In the space between I-305 and Flight of Fear goes the entrance to the ride. A long and winding path takes you into the woods and tells the story of The Vampire of Hollywood Cemetery. Gets you back to the entrance of the ride. After already having I-305, a steel hyper is going to seem like a letdown, so I want to see (now that places are pushing it some) a wooden hyper. Give it an airtime machine out and back 'L' shaped course around I-305. Along with this the area back in that corner gets freshened up, and to fit into the Safari theme better, I-305 gets a retheme to fit this corner to fit with an idea of mythological creatures of North America. Flight of Fear gets its queue updated to look fresher, but keeps the same theme.

Inverted Coaster idea: And in the old Volcano plot, get one of the first Vekoma SFC's. I know there's going to be, possibly, a S&S Free Spin going into the old Crypt plot, but going with an inverted coaster that's family friendly you really gain something that not other park in the area has. Although I doubt KD would want to stuff this many coasters in this small of an area, but this would be a great way to fill out the area and pay a small homage to Volcano by keeping the area with an invert.

I think the woody hyper would better fit over by Grizzly/the old Dinos Alive space, assuming they keep the trees.

Can really do up the cemetery theming (doesn't hurt that the real thing is not far away to draw inspiration from), and if planned right can also set it up to be incorporated into Haunt while still running the ride.
