About Volcano’s replacement: I have no idea when it will happen (or shit, if it ever will) but let’s pretend for now that they will get something between 2021-23.

What is your (realistic) idea for replacing such an iconic ride?

I’ve said this many times but I am really digging an adequately themed Gerstlauer infinity. It’s not too expensive, is quirky, and can be fit into a compact space.

KD should make a Volcano 2.0 that isn't half finished ;)

But seriously, I haven't thought about them putting a Gerstlaur Infinity in that plot of land.
However, that honestly seems more practical than getting a B&M Wing Coaster or a flat ride in that plot.

An Indoor Sky Rocket 2. At the rate they are being manufactured, they may be close to free at this point. Or better yet, an Inverted Sky Rocket 2, Yellow and orange color.

To be honest, I'm with madmax. A Hangtime-type coaster was one of the first replacement ideas that came to mind for that space.

My dream would be keeping the front half of the Volcano mountain, using it as a facade to hide a regular rectangular building, and making the Infinity an enclosed, inferno-themed coaster.

I started this thought process in Coconut Shores thread and I wanted to finish it here.

So if CS/SDL take up all of the former BWB like I think it might, that land south of there isn't going to be easily accessible, and as I said, the park shouldn't be interested in going down there. So the former Soak House and Lil Barefoot Beach area now opens up. I would propose that you use that area as the new grand entrance to Soak City, connecting between Twisted Timbers and Apple Zapple. This is a much broader avenue for the entrance. The new space opened can be used to move Baja Bends and Freestylin to that area, and introduce a whole new entrance area that has changing stations and the like. Would also allow you to remove the old middle of SC changing stations.

In the middle of that new entrance, I would put a new "grand entrance" fountain that you can play in, along with some little children splash zone areas (partially replacing the lost LBB and Splash Island.

Next my Nostalgia kicks in: A new (much smaller) mountain gets built right where the old changing rooms were at. Around this mountain is a series of tube rides. Next, out comes Zoom Flume, opening up a way to connect the new kids area with TWB. Back in there we get a new large family raft ride, which would be a SC take on Colosal Curl. A much larger lazy river would encompass a central area.

Around this area, I would install:
A mat racer complex that starts by Pipeline Peak and makes its way to the middle of the island. Much like Whitecap Racer in HP, I would give it a racing system to use. But I would do this off a 3 tier level for different length and speeds (all ages).
A body slide like you get at Pipeline Peak, but then it's a 4 spot with a drop floor that has a racing element to it.
On the far side a water coaster that I would target as one of the longest and fastest.
On the island, space to relax. And the middle would basically be a wading pool, with splash zones, water challenge zones, a surf spot.

In this proposal you lose 6 complexes and 228,000 sq feet with the removal of the area north of Racer. But you gain 221,000 sq feet in the area that's the new main entrance, and with what I'm proposing a massive 450,000 sq foot expansion south of TWB and east of CS/SDL. You would also be moving 2 of the 6 complexes, and replacing the lost 4 with 8-10 new complexes.

So... Am I the only one who hopes KD gets a huge Screamin' Swing like Skyhawk but even taller?

Since KD has about 80% of the Zamperla catalog of kiddie rides, I wonder if CF/KD would go for a flat package of 4-5 rides in the family/thrill category? I am not sure of what other companies have park style versions of flat rides that could be in that mix.
