Just a heads up: the Twinkle Tickets are currently available online right now. I turned on my computer to get everything ready for the sale to start at midnight and was able to purchase them as soon as I went to the website. I'll be in the park December 4!

Is the day after Thanksgiving usually super crowded? A friend invited me to go that day but I'm not sure I'll want to rouse myself out of my food-stupor to fight the crowds if it's traditionally packed :p.

Its been horrible in the past.

I'll probably end up there on Black Friday. I'd hoped they were opening a weekend early like they did last year, but that didn't happen. Still, glad they are open until January 3rd so I'll not complain.

EDIT: Last year, the Sunday after Thanksgiving is when I was stuck on the interstate exit for over an hour and decided to give up getting in at all (and we lined up at 1:30!). Hoping they have better staffing this year because last year discounted days were awful.

Just a heads up, the Twinkle Ticket is available for $14 for non-peak days, but $24 for single day tickets for "peak" days (as opposed to the regular $35 for peak days).

Pass holders can get these special peak discounted tickets for $22.

All the extra work with discounted tickets for specific days, and discounted tickets for peak days seems ridiculous. Why not just make the stupid thing 20 bucks everyday and be done with it.

It's called the psychology of advertising.

All these discounted tickets make me really not want to go at all.

Saving money is nice and all. But with narrowed pathways and less things to do besides freeze my ass off. Yeah no thanks.

I'm not sure the $24 will lead to that more guests per day. Yeah, some will come for $24, who otherwise would not. But, when the pass and single day ticket are the same price, people will choose the pass "just in case." Then they would go one day, and if they had a good time, figure since they have the pass, they might as well go again, and maybe even a third time. Conversely, the discounted single day tickets locks people into visiting only once.

On a side note, the map no longer says that Polar Pathway is presented by Coca-Cola. I will be so glad if that area is liberated from blatant sponsorship.

So I looked into this a bit and noticed that this year no permits have been filed for the Coke billboard or Polar Pictures structure, so let's hope that means those two things and the Coke sponsorship are gone for good. Now they just have to make sure they don't setup that plinko game and Polar Pathway will be back to its normal, majestic self.

I'm happy there's no giant Coke billboard, but we'll miss the polar bear. Polar bear fits on Polar Pathway, and those were some of the best pictures we got last year.
