I'm very excited for all the culinary additions this CT. Less excited about them keeping Crow's Nest Grill(I hate it's location), but as long as it looks good I guess it's okay.

Also, the new food stand at the Royal Palace theatre will be located in the planter between the RPT and RR tracks, so that means it will probably be permanent. Maybe the beignets will stick around for the new summer show next season, or perhaps even more French dishes. Ideally though, those should be served year-round in Café Lulu.

Interested to see how they keep Josephine's in high demand for the cooler time of the year.

Photo ops for this year (from the PhotoKey product description)

•Front Gate Photo (Fountain)
•Highland Stables (Scotland)
•Snowman Photo (France)
•O' Tannenbaum (Oktoberfest)
•Verbolten (Oktoberfest)
•Pierre & Penelope Photo (Holiday Hills)

So, no polar bear this year. "Frosty" and the penguins exchange places. Prior to this year, having Pierre and Penelope right outside of the penguin's Ice Palace made complete sense. And, "Frosty" in Holiday Hills fit the theme perfectly, also.

But, unless "Frosty" is featured in the new ice show, I don't see they the move here. And, the penguins don't fit with Holiday Hills at all. I understand the real penguins are gone, but at least Pierre and Penelope are French names!

I would have left "Frosty" in Holliday Hills (the snow globe effect they had last year was great) and I hope they have it at the new location. And, I would have tied the France photo op in with the new ice show (though, without knowing anything about the show, I don't know if that is realistic or not).

I'm probably the only one on Earth obsessing about Christmastown photo ops, but my kids love them.

Y'all probably already saw this, but BGW just posted on their Facebook page that they're doing Alpengeist instead of Verbolten until December 4. They phrased it as "a special treat for coaster lovers", but it seems kind of weird to open Alpie INSTEAD of Bolt rather than alongside if that's the case?

Worst case: Verbolten needs some work done and they had to make a last-minute scramble to replace it as the CT coaster
Best case: Ent is going to actually do seasonal theming

Maybe it's just me, but it seems Apollo would be a better choice here. I understand that the 'ice' theming is more appropriate, but I think Apollo appeals to a broader spectrum. Just a couple cents from me.

Wait, so Alpengeist is open on the 4th or is that when the transition from Alpie to V-Bolt takes place?

Dec 4 is a Friday, so it would be logical for that to be the first day of V-Bolt, and the last day of Alpie being Nov 29 (i.e. Alpie for this weekend only).

The comment complaints about Alpengeist are already starting too because of height restrictions for the ride. I guess if you're bringing smaller kids, other coasters would be better than Alpie. AC would also offer great viewing on the lights from the lift hill and the ride.

Literally just about everything else at Christmas town can be done by smaller kids. Including a few of kid only rides.

People need to chill.

Aplie isn't my first choice to ride in the cold, but at least it'll be open for a little while.
