Thank you for illustrating the opposite (or anti-christian, depending on how offended you wish to be) side of the argument. Personally, I don't give a fuck about CT since I've never found it fun and the only reasons I tolerated it it the past were to hang out with my friends. I can proudly say that I have been CT sober for two years now. However, and you guys might not see it /because/ you're in the majority, but that kind of exclusivity can be belittling. I'm not saying the park should section off each hamlet to pander to one specific religion or a name change, but a little recognition would be comforting. A manora, kinara, and scarlet "A" would all be small symbols the park could scatter about the park to give other people a small bit of comfort to what I assure you that a lot of non-christians consider an annoying to oppressive season.

Yeah, just like when Christians boycotted Walmart putting a dent in their bottom line and changing the way they do business. Thank god True Christians held steadfast because now everyone who shops and works there has a personal relationship with Jesus. Mission accomplished.

So, in summary, some people want Jesus at Christmas Town and some don't. Truly a revolutionary discovery. I'm so glad this argument took place because I certainly would have never guessed either side existed otherwise. /sarcasm

Drop the religion talk and go back to tacky billboards, burned out lights, or penguins in boxes. If you really want to get adventurous, try talking about all three in one post!

Something something Christmas Town. Lights. Alcohol. Coca-Cola. something something.

I will say... My last visit, the shrubbery was delightful.

Christmas Town may seem far off now, but that doesn't mean we can't start speculating. I have already heard about some interesting new things this year. The park is slowly starting to update their Christmas Town website.

I think it should be noted that the penguin exhibit, as of today, has been removed. It is still on the main attractions page, but the link is broken, and it's no longer on the scroll-down list.

I expect that they are going to move the penguins to free up the backstage. It is a very popular attraction and it seems to me it could go just about anywhere that has been closed off for HS. Questor for example.

I posted about this in the minor changes thread but on April 12 the door was wide-open. (I have a photo in the thread) There were no remnants of the penguin exhibit and usually the park keeps the penguin exhibit up as many times while walking through Catacombs I would look up to see sparkly snowflakes. There are many many places where the penguins could be moved so I wouldn't consider this the end for the penguins. 191 days until Christmas Town!

I think the simulator building could work beautifully. In the cave area (if used), they could cover the stones with something to make it look like ice. I would love to see them in a more spacious location. My focus so far has been on the Royal Palace Theatre, but that building could be used for so many things.

The RPT worked for the Penguins because it has a truck bay and wide open area. There are not many places elsewhere in the park where that is the case.

The Zoology Department was decimated last winter. It might not be all that surprising, if they decided not to bring the penguins back this year.

That said, I hope they are just moving them somewhere that will provide more space in the exhibit area. I always hated the little boxes they were displayed in previously.

I'm of the same opinion! I loved seeing the penguins, but it saddened me to see that they didn't have a whole lot of room to play around in. I hope they're staying for this year!

No, I really hope my beloved penguins are still there next year! :( One of the highlights of CT for me and my family...
