Verbolten will be open. There is a really good chance Tempesto will be open for Christmas Town as Superman at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in California is open for Holiday in the Park in which the tempatures hit the 40s-30s. Just some speculation from a fan.

Thanks Connor Ive always wondered what may be open attraction wise during CT.

Bring back Griffon. Screw B&M's recommendations, let it valley!

Seriously though, it is a bit sad for me that only the smallest of the collection is open during CT. I remember when Griffon was open, then Alpen. I'd be okay with just Verbolten if they changed some of the event building to have "winter-y" effects in it.

I think there are staffing issues on top of mechanical limitations (if they really exist). In addition, I have never been as cold as I was the year I rode Griffon at CT. It honestly wasn't very pleasant. And last winter the temperatures were consistently almost too low for me to even be outside, much lest on a roller coaster.

I recall Backlot Stunt Coaster being one of the first coasters to open on Kings Dominion's below-freezing Pass Holder Preview Day. This makes me wonder if Premier launched coasters handle the cold relatively well.

If that's the case, could Tempesto possibly take Verbolten's spot in the coaster lineup this winter? Or will the park stick with what's proven? Or could we see more than one coaster operating during Christmas Town this year...?

If Tempesto is the only coaster open this year, that will be a capacity nightmare for the park. It's bad enough as it is, but imagine everyone in the park in that line at the same time... Kill me.

Tempesto operating during CT might be hit miss this year.

Yes it is the new coaster and the current hot ticket plus it can run in low temps, but it only has one train and said train does have to undergo winter maintenance. Why the park didn't order a backup train I'll never know.

While I'd love to see Pesto running during CT, I wouldn't hold my breath for too long about it.

My guess is that they are afraid of more slipping hazards with the decrease in temperatures. If any major person at the the park said it was a safety measure, then we most likely won't see it open.

Yes. I know. Sigh.

I feel as if there should be a way to keep it safe. It is slippery when it rains the rest of the year too. If they keep the snow and ice off the bridge, wouldn't it be fine?

It was for me the prettiest part of the park at CT, when it was open.

An unrelated thought: I would pay for a QQ that allowed me front of the line access to the Skyride, and to stay on for the whole loop. The lights are beautiful from that vantage, and I really go to CT for the decorations. Sadly, I anticipate that they will only offer me unwanted reserved seating at shows and backstage access to the performers.

Seriously, they need to consider ways to entertain those of us who don't like their theatrical productions. And they already took away our penguins.

The "backstage experiences" are another thing that needs fixing. I did not go on the tour for Scrooge No More because I heard that they didn't really take you backstage. I think the Globe Theatre has such an interesting backstage area. It is really a shame that you don't get to see that anymore.

Also, have the teacups always had an overlay during CT?

Ever since the Festa Italia section opened for Christmas Town as Holiday Hills in 2012, yes.
