penguins out for ice skating

hmm, maybe they want to avoid being seen with their sister park? No penguins means no seaworld signs

I really do hope they manage to find a new location for the penguins. It was a very popular attraction and I am not sure how well this ice skating show could replace it.

They could have gotten rid of Gloria instead. Or that atrocity in the Festhaus.

Honestly, if they wanted a new show, they should have replaced one of the other shows, instead of jettisoning the penguins.

I enjoyed the Penguins, they were cute and sweet. But, frankly, the exhibit was a nightmare. The display cases and tanks were awfully small, the Penguins were doing nothing special most of the time, and it was miserable to navigate with the other people jammed in there with you.

I will sorta miss the Penguins, but I think an ice show is a better addition for Christmas Town, simply because with it being in the RPT, it will be a huge "people absorber" which is something CT desperately needs. I'm excited for the ice show in both aspects that it will add something to the event and will take people away from the crowded pathways.

I agree they should have improved the penguin exhibit. And perhaps the new show will be nice. That doesn't mean yet another animal exhibit should be sacrificed.

I haven't seen anything saying that the penguins will not be returning. Are we just assuming that they will be removed? As small as that exhibit is, it could be moved anywhere.

I suggested this last year. Kids are still out of school at that time, and considering they still make a killing on the days after Christmas, it made no sense to me to just stop that on December 31st, when "Winter Vacation" still has a while to go for most people. I'm glad they made this decision.

I think that had to do with problems with online processing fees being tacked on, making it almost not worth it compared to the Christmas Town Fun Card.

The $25 CT pass is the "fun card". It's $7 cheaper than the regular price of $32 according the BG website. I also received a "post card/advertisement" in the mail yesterday stating that the CT pass is $25 (to season passholders only) for July only. The pass also includes parking and in park discounts.

I consider this to be a good deal. I just hope they don't bring back the $12 deal like last year.
