This pic makes my point a bit better:

It makes sense. However, what was your opinion of it in general? Too much? Or balanced?
I thought it was well balanced, but leaned more toward the 'we are Christians' side. But this opinion comes from somebody who takes no offense to anything religious. Not being religious, and being offended by something religious, are two completely different mentalities. I think the park did well for the event. The next guy might not.

Coming from my viewpoint, I think CT has enough religious aspects to it. It provides something for people who are Christian to enjoy for what they celebrate the holiday for. And, honestly it gave me the vibe that Busch Gardens does believe there can be two aspects to Christmas in the same place, which seems to be becoming something rare in big public places. All this coming from a Christian, I just don't understand how a show that your not in any way forced to see, a nativity scene, and some non-secular Angels can ruin your whole experience of an event that has multiple aspects to it. But I'm kind of biased on that aspect and viewpoint, so I dunno.

Doctor Who jokes can be an effective way to redirect conversation. Also, Matthew lobbed me a softball. I really had no choice.

I'm not trying to be contrary, but if those three minor events were Muslim based there would be plenty of people who would have their day ruined. It's extremely relative.

One can only wonder what the event would be like if each hamlet represented a different religion with its own indigenous holiday being celebrated throughout.

Edit...Sort of like an Epcot for the Godly.

Imagine the food! Indian, Middle Eastern, ... I need to go to Lebanese Taverna ...

I always feel like I'm not saying what I'm thinking right, so I'll make another attempt. I feel the park went into Christmas Town thinking, that they could not include Christianity, and not attract Christians in large numbers to the event like they do now, or they could attribute some Christian aspects, attract most Christians to the event, then make the rest of the event secular. Out of their best interests for the event, and wanting success over everything for it, they decided to go with option two.

While I think an event celebrating different winter holidays would be an interesting idea, the park knows it wouldn't attract as many people as when they just involve a little Christianity, and then make the rest of the event secular.

Understand what I'm trying to say?

Then we could have a park-wide hamlet war, each hamlet trying to seize territory from the other hamlets, or one hamlet could try to forcibly convert the other hamlets. There could be intra-hamlet Crusades...

I was thinking more along the lines of 'dreidle laden streets' with Hanukkah celebrations in Italy. But I guess your idea is what we would end up with :)
