May I remind you, the park started decorating for HOS in August, and still weren't completely done by opening weekend.

When we went through Catacombs a week ago, the girls in front of us were getting all of the scares giving us time to look around at the scenery. At one point my boyfriend and I noticed that if you looked up in some spots, you could see all of the Christmas Town decorations for the Penguin room. It makes sense that they just leave them up all year long and just move around them for Halloween.

The park is a lot better with getting CT stuff up than they are with the HOS stuff.
Probably because they can put up lights and trees without people complaining. It's the spiders and pirate rags in August that seem to irritate the picky people.

Over here in Europa there isn't Thanksgiving, so pretty much Christmas will be in full swing in about a week.

so I am torn, on one hand I detest X-Mas season, X-Mas music, and X-Mas in general, but on the other hand I have heard that the park is really beautiful. I have never been before because of my feeling about the holiday season, but I am tempted this year.

Hit the nail on the head.

I'm tempted every year but I'm an atheist so God and I don't really talk. And I'm not really big into the other side of Xmas: commercialism. I also hate, hate, HATE being cold. But there is a nagging part of me that is curious what Christmas Town is all about because people do seem to find joy in it.

Fortunately, I swore off BGW this year and I'm a man of my convictions. Maybe next year it'll be in the cards for me.

I like it. The lights are pretty. The stew is good. Santa is there for my Daughter. A cold coaster ride is always interesting. Besides, anything Jesus can do, BGW can do better(jk). The religious aspects dont bother me. I kindof enjoy bible stories told through song and dance. Anyhoo, the real reason for me to go, is for my Daughter.

It has come a long way in a few, short years. I have been twice: once the first year and then once again last year. I was stunned at how beautiful everything was. You should let the Humbug go, Zimmy.

I honestly enjoy CT.

I go for the lights. They are stunning. Some if the food is interesting, as well.

The behind the scenes penguin tour was great last year, as well. I loathe the penguin exhibit, however.

As everyone can probably guess, I don't bother with the shows.

CT really isn't christian oriented other than Gloria and the nativity. I would still highly recommend Gloria because it is one of the best shows the park has produced. And on the plus side the park is decked to the halls with decorations, lights, and yummy holiday food. Comparing it to Christmas at the MK last year I would actually pick CT because it was just a much better overall event. So if you have the chance to go it really is a good time and will definitely be an experience you'll never forget.
