I was thinking something like the Carol of the Bells light show at BGT, just on a much bigger scale:

If done right it could be amazing. Of course the song selection would be different to fit Polar Pathway's theme, and it would only be periodical to make sure you can enjoy Polar Pathway in itself in between showings.

I think this is an awesome idea! I love Polar Pathway and I love the light show at Colony House.

I'm all for light shows but I doubt they would ever do it because they already have one light show in the park (Festhaus).

I think that is dumb logic because it can't be that expensive to have a light show after it is developed but that seems like standard BG logic.

After visiting SWO for Christmas last year my whole family was in awe of the Sea of Trees as pictured.

We all agreed they should add it to CT but where? They cant add it to the main Rhine area because they already have Peace on Earth theme, they can't do it for Polar Pathway, but nothings going on for the Grimm's Landung Bridge? What if you did Sea of Trees but to top it off you do Light Shows just like Matthew's idea every 30 minutes. You could add a temporary stand by the Rhine River Cruises selling Hot Coco, Cookies, S'mores, ETC. It will help with the flow of the park considering it gets pretty busy for CT. Now it would take a while to work out kinks considering the bridge isn't as big as the one in SWO but I imagine it could be done. Thoughts?

3 Point Challenge is turned into a light show during Christmas Town. Plus the tree in Aquitaine, so I guess that would bring the total to 3 light shows.

Since you mention the abundance of light, does anyone know if BGW uses LEDs? I'd be really disappointed if they're wasting energy on old school lamps.

LEDs are fine in certain applications. They tend to be very harsh and do not have the same warmth as incondescnet or halogen lamps. That being said they are useful for x-mas lights.

Holiday Hills and New France are the only places that use incandescent. In New France the red and green lights are incandescent while the white lights are LED.

Question- I don't think I've ever done the train at CT (which is crazy because I LOVE the train- just an unhappy coincidence), so I'm wondering much they decorate specifically for the view from the train? Like back behind Festa, on the bridge, and behind the Festhaus where there isn't much else going on.

Oh look.  Another lightbulb discussion.  Don't we have a dedicated thread for that?

Nic, you can never have too many threads about light bulbs or the counting there of. Just like you can never have to many threads about counting parking spaces and toilets!
