I hope more guests do what you did Lee. Working retail or in any job with the public feels so thankless at times. Just a little note to hear that someone appreciated the help and extra happy note to your day is always welcome.

That is so good that they got your compliments and I can certainly say Christel deserves every bit of it.

I don't think German gifts would be the same without her. In fact, the entire team at German Gifts is top notch. Yay awesome Merch team!

I wanted to share this photo for lukemcnuggets. Here is your favorite part from a very cool angle. The confetti looks like stars!

^ I also agree. couldnt they have called Apollos something like Christmas Chariot, or Santas Sleigh, and have the tents either by covered in christmas lights, or be dressed more like christmas gifts?

The Guest Relations desk knows me by name now. I walk up, they say "Hello again chickenking (not really, but my actual name). So who would you like to compliment this time?"
That has been my new thing this season. At the end of every week, I have a list of names that I put in for being so wonderful and making my park experience that much better. Y'all know who you are. It is so sad that they receive so few positive remarks from guests. People won't hesitate for a second if they (think they) are pissed off about something, but won't take even less time to reward all of the great experiences that occur. The good outweighs the possible bad by a long-shot. Please join us in sharing your good experiences by positive remarks at Guest Relations. I know they appreciate it and it makes me feel good too.

I might do that, but since I only go about once a week, I'll do it after every visit, but that's a good idea to make sure that people who are nice get rewarded by recognition of the customer. Great idea, I'll definitely try it!!

I'm going to sea worlds christmas event this year.I didn't get to go to Christmastown this year due to time. Also, do they start taking a few things down before Christmastown ends?

Nope, and quite honestly the park has never really taken down any event decor or theming before the official event ends and being that the park is closed for months after Christmas Town, there is no rush to take anything down.

Um, what is the deal with New Years Eve? We've never done it but we may try this year. I know it's not much but do they do anything?

To add on to Sky's question, how are the crowds? I'd imagine the last night of Christmas Town is a madhouse, but with it being New Year's Eve, perhaps a lot of people decide to do other things that night?

Thanks. It looks like that /may/ be my only chance to visit. I'm going through BGW withdrawal!

Today was insane crazy. With great weather, it's a saturday, overflow parking was used. I believe the max cap was around 19K when they started turning cars away.

Tomorrow its supposed to be raining but still warm. Any thoughts on if it will be busy too?

EDIT: Complaints on Facebook are saying that there is not enough team members staffed, and hot chocolate has run out. Honestly, does it occur to anyone that maybe they weren't expecting a large crowd today?

I would think hopefully, that they would know this night had great potential of being busy. I mean come on it's a Saturday, during Winter Break time! If that is true, I think it's unacceptable to be that un-prepared for a day like today.

You need more than potential. With that logic, every day has the potential to be busy. The original projection was high, so they did expect to be busy, how busy they thought they were going to be is the real question. I don't think anyone expected capacity crowds today. After all, they've only hit capacity once so far this year.

Speaking in a logical sense PR, if there's a very high chance that it is going to be very busy, then they should be prepared with extra employees to make sure something like what has been complained about today doesn't happen.

The park is closing early due to weather at 9pm.

I don't expect it to be very busy. On a mostly rainy day, plus it will probably get cold later on tonight.

After my other 2 visits in the rain, I'll pass. But I'll be there the 31st for all the show finales, to get my last glimpse of BGW before march, and finally to say goodbye to a dear friend, Banbury Cross.:( I really am going to miss it.:(

I know I've been MIA lately (heath stuff :-/) but maybe this will help make up for it.

More in the pipeline as always. :)

Thanks, Zach!

I haven't had a chance to download any of my CT (or Legoland) pics yet. So, I have no idea what prettiness is on my camera.
