While window shopping in Der Marktplatz we came upon the model train display. Thought it was cute and it made the kid happy.

Would anyone have a general idea how crowded the park will be this weekend? This will be my second time going. My first experience was 2011, the weekend after Thanksgiving and they closed the park because it reached maximum capacity. Needless to say it wasn't very fun. Thanks for any help.

Well an estimate is that it should be waaaay less crowded, especially Friday and Sunday. It looks to be a bit rainy Friday and Sat... however, rain (drizzle) is not that bad if it isn't super cold and keeps crowds down.

Hope that helps. :)

Scenes from Aquitaine.

I don't think many people understand that the French held elaborate (and lively) costume parties at Christmas in the 18th century . . . which is what these characters in France portray. The English pretty much did the same, with the Lord of Misrule being the life of the party with his shenanigans.

Queen Flourette was Mrs. Barney Collins from Blood Banquet, the Marquis was Dr. Rayburn of Fright Feast, and the Jester was Cap'n Cutthroat Carter from Torture Hill (his partner, Nargus B. Sched is a caroler at Banbury Crossing).

And the Jester's bawdy sense of humor hasn't lessened at all. His puppet-on-a-stick can be made to move its mouth from behind.

I saw like 30 seconds of it. Saw it posted, paused it to post it here, went back to watch it, and private. :dodgy:

Dang, and it was the video where Scott was executed by firing squad too, what a shame you missed it.

It's up now, watching it as I write this. Seems the same as last year except with the new Aquitaine edited in.

The Royals

The silly antics of the Royal Court in Aquitaine at Busch Gardens during Christmas Town. The Royals are: His Majesty, King Francois; Her Majesty, Queen Florette; and the Jester...Harlequin (with Jester Junior or "JJ"). Come pay homage in France which is themed to "The Twelve Days of Christmas".

This is an improv group and they are awesome. So entertaining and funny. Check out the Queen's dress!!

I'm sure it is a mistake, but currently the BGW website is showing that CT has been/will be open ALL of December and every day into the foreseeable future. It's Christmas FOREVER!! :p

There's an issue. It shows 3-10 no matter what date you select, even going back to HOS.

What do you think the crowds will be like tonight? I'm headed there at 530...

Hopefully the rain holds out......

The crowds shouldn't be as bad as a traditional Thanksgiving weekend or a CT Saturday, but with the nice weather in place, I'd expect it to be pretty busy.

Due to warm weather and partly cloudy skies, Nacht Tower will be closed tonight.

Just kidding, but I might end up being right, ya never know :s

Are they operating it in the observation mode again this year? I have yet to see it open, so I wasn't sure....
