PeterR. & I were walking to go see Miracles and stumbled upon this...

Just minutes before, we were told that SG wanted this "blue" light installed back in the trees. I think it really looks great!

That, sir, is one of the most magnificent pictures of anything Christmas Town I have ever seen. Well done! Things like that are why I still love the park.

Finally, an appropriate place to use that smiley!

Some pictures I took yesterday for you viewing pleasure. On the second "Peace on Earth" shot I caught the Alpen Express train going over the trestle.

Does anybody know if they fixed the 2 or 3 letters that were out in the Holiday Hills sign? I've noticed that they fixed a couple other things that were out in some pictures, but I won't be able to make it there until next weekend.

Here's how it looked last night. Earlier in the day I seen two people working on it.

The sign was completely fixed as of last night. If it was completely fix before that I don't know as Yesterday was my first time back at the park since opening weekend.

I haven't seen this brought up yet (sorry if it has), but it looks like the little emblems on the bottom of the Holiday Hills sign gives a few nods to some of the BGW high-ups, such as the "Camp Carl" emblem for Carl Lum (President). Kind of reminds me of the monsters in Killarney for Howl-O-Scream.

Their full references:

Freeway Franz A Shop for All Seasons = Franz K. (was the previous VP of Merchandise and now current VP of Culinary)

Camp Carl Holiday Hills = As previously mentioned, Carl Lum Park President

I have been meaning to post this up for awhile now, but yea seems like a good time to throw this up there.

The Christmas Dinner buffet in the Black Forest is pretty good; they have ham!! I dunno if it will be open today due to the weather and what will likely be less crowds.

Judging by the park's Twitter feed, there was some sort of kerfuffle regarding the Christmas Town Dash. They've rescheduled it for a week later. Does anyone know what happened/how big of a deal it was? It seems like a huge problem that the park can't get such a big event in shape...

Just saw that they finally put up a photo op in front of O Tannenbaum (in the form of two white fences surrounding an Anheuser Busch-red bench, though no AB logo). Good, even though it took them five years to figure out that its hard to take good staged photos in front of it. Surprised there isn't a small Christmas Town sign above people's heads nestled in the tree. Still a nice touch that I'll definitely stop by in about two weeks.

Christmas Town Dash was delayed due to weather.

***IMPORTANT CHRISTMAS TOWN DASH 8K RACE INFORMATION***
Runners,

Due to the inclement weather approaching the area and the priority of runner safety, Busch Gardens and Flat-Out Events officials have made the decision to postpone the race scheduled for Sunday December 8, until next Sunday, December 15. We have determined that with threat of frozen precipitation, the race course inside the park would not be safe. We will follow up with further information regarding next week’s schedule, but anticipate all times to be the same. Thank you for your understanding. Your safety is our first priority.

Thank you,

Race Team

The reason being the park only had at most 400 people in the park today. They budgeted for 8,000 and expected 10,000. They took a huge hit today.
