I took these on Sunday and finished the editing today. There are some great lights this year in both New France and Rhinefeld.

Where was THE HAM!!!!! My son says he's only going to CT once this season because there was no ham as in years past. Me and my wife will go a few times and take our boy on Christmas eve as we do that every year. I will have to keep my eyes out for the ham...

Just posted another wave of Christmas Town pictures to BGWFans' Facebook page. Notable additions include some pictures of the interior of Emerald Isle (which I have fallen in love with) as well as a fair number of Trappers Village pictures (my favorite CT hamlet). Enjoy!

We had a great day on BF! Got there early and we left right at 10PM.

It got busy apparently while we had dinner and watched Deck the Halls because getting out of the Festhaus was not easy and there was a line to get in backed up to the Bumper Cars. We really did not have to wait very long for anything the whole day. Top moments of the day:

Gluwein (sp) - awesome stuff too bad my mug broke when it hit the pavement in Italy. Some really sweet BG staffers were trying to arrange a new one for me, but that did not work out nor did I expect it.

The Jester - My daughter got into the act with a rendition of Jingle Bells. He really is a very good performer. Then the King saw my husbands Union Jack Hat and 'kicked' him out of France. Bad Video of Jester

Very glad we went, this was our first CT experience and we will very likely do it again.

Hadn't seen anyone mention that they are selling Sea World's Cup That Cares outside the penguin exhibit. If I didn't already have one, I would totally get a penguin Mr Potatohead cup here. Didn't see anything about drink refills here, but they will work for sure in Orlando. The refills are .99 at SW.

Went to CT tonight. It was alright.

Saw Gloria first, it's okay. The performers are amazing, but Gloria is mostly nap time for me. 20 minutes of Jesus is more than enough for me.

Went through France quickly, I liked what I did see of it. Didn't see the performers out. ):

The Festhaus was like a disaster area. Having the buffet inside there, along with reserving a bunch of tables for Quick Queue, just makes it feel even more cramped. It was awful. Deck the Halls seemed really muffled too. (And the food was sub-par also. I expect better of you Festhaus, you're slipping.)

Got to ride Bolt, sat right up front. (I had almost instant regret as I was freezing.) However, I can say looking out at the top of the hill on the Rhine and seeing the lights at night was a really nice sight. :)

Saw Miracles, and there is no amount of hate I have for Quick Queue. Since there was almost a whole row of empty tables all with reserve signs on them for Quick Queue. (Once the show started people went 'to hell with it' and sat down at them, regardless if they had QQ or not.) Anyways, I love Miracles as always.

Holiday Hills had some light issues on the front sign. The Hs and two Ls were all out. Holiday Hills was my dad's favorite place. (he just wishes there was something to do over in that area, since he doesn't do spinning rides.)

Final thoughts: Over-all it was fun. I enjoyed myself there. But it was definitely one of those "Okay, we came, we saw, we conquered. Now let's go home." deals.

(Also can I say that one of the songs in the Rhinefield area, sounds suspiciously close to Halloween music rather than Christmas music. My dad and I had a good laugh at it.)

Mainly because it was a darker song from The Polar Express. Rhinefeld and the front entrance play nothing but The Polar Express soundtrack, almost entirely.

The big thing that caught my eye so far was England. Those trees used to be full incandescent lighting, they apparently switched to LED minis now. My main concern was LED minis would create a cool white a ruin the warm white feeling the area gave, but they really don't change that, so I am okay with it.

My tree has LED white lights that are made to look exactly like the incandescent white lights. When I first saw them I really couldn't tell the difference. I wonder why the park just didn't get ones like those.

Well from some friends, they use the lights they d to give a certain look. New France is a prime example. They don't use LEDs there because it just wouldn't look right or at least it wouldn't look the way they want it to. Not sure who ended up making the decision in Banbury Cross but I think it was a good decision.

The park really needs to have more of these street performers out during the regular season, especially during the summer months. I've always been really pleased with the quality of the carolers during CT
