Make sure to bring your regular Pass with your CT Pass for parking entrance, discounts, etc.

I thought they said the CT Pass was supposed to replace your regular pass, so you only need one. At least those are the word that came out of the VP of Marketings mouth at the pass holder meeting?

Hard passes still exist. They're $5 and can be purchased at the guest services outside the gates. That money goes to the conservation fund as well.

I had paid for the hard pass last year. When I upgraded to platinum the other week, they took my hard pass and I was left once again with a paper pass.

I didn't say anything at the time, but apparently when you change your pass status, you have to pay $5 every time for that hard pass. I'll take care of it when I go to CT, unless the lines are crazy busy, which you know they will be.

The hard pass is also a royal pain to scan at some registers. Sometimes I wondered if it's actually worth the aggravation.....

If your hard pass won't scan right, take it back and get another one. The printing on the bar code needs to be clean for it to read properly. Mine works like a charm, despite some flaws in the printing (white specks in the barcode lines).

I'll have to re-watch the video to confirm what was said, I'm just passing along what was told directly to me. In any event, my CT Pass says nothing about me being a Platinum Pass Member, and it expires on Dec. 31. Safe to say it is not going to get you into the park come March. Platinum is what gets your through the Employee Gate. I for one will be carrying both. It is only an extra oz. or so in my pocket. It does say "Includes select Pass Member benefits.", so maybe I should rephrase that this may be a Platinum only issue. :p

However, I will test what the CT Pass will do for you. It is safe to assume that having one means the holder is at least a regular Pass Member; so %10 discount should be OK. But why chance it until we know for sure? Hold onto your regular pass!

We looked at the CT passes and they are saying it is only good for a one day admission? We have to pick the day we will be there and the tickets are only good for that date?
This was in the passmembers site. I thought we only had to buy the ticket for $35 and we could go back for the entire event. Did we miss something?

The Christmas Town Pass is $30; my guess is you probably clicked on a different ticket option by mistake. Whatever the case may be, all tickets are open ended. The park does do specific date tickets.

There was an unlimited, multi day ticket tavailable through the end of HOS. I believe it was a special rate. I'd imagine they'll post multiday passes again.

RE: BGW Christmas Town 2013

beavis, you seem to be having major miscommunication troubles. Let me explain a few things.

First, single day tickets have always been available always. They suggest the Fun Card and the Fall Fun Card because you pay one day and get their respective time frames free. With Christmas Town, they were offering the Christmas Town Pass for $20 before Oct. 27th and $30 after Oct. 27th. Meaning, You should still be able to buy the Christmas Town Pass, but for $30.

If you want take a look at the Busch Gardens Williamsburg Deals and Discounts thread in the Everything Else forum. It highlights the Christmas Town Pass. There is also the Admission Tickets and their Benefits thread in the same forum. It highlights everything that should be offered with the passes and what tickets are offered.

RE: BGW Christmas Town 2013

Thanks P.R. and C.K. We just got that email and have purchased the tickets for $25. I must have been in the wrong site/place because we only had a choice of the $30 single day ticket and the page that said no multi day passes available for C.T. Williamsburg.
Sorry for venting.......Thanks for the information!

Especially as the have the flex ticket for $50, which is valid for 3 consecutive days. Why would anyone get this, when they could get unlimited for $30?

Normally I am really good at figuring out ticket strategies (since it is what I do for a living) and I honestly have been staring at their page for 10 minuets trying to figure out why they have the flex ticket and I just can't figure it out.

For a second I thought it must be because maybe they include it in vacation packages and they only show it so people can see the value of getting the package or something, but the vacation packages all have length of stay tickets, not flex.

Maybe guests can use coupons or other discounts on them? Like maybe they plan on doing a Livingsocial deal for that ticket product in the future or you can use the Wendys/Mcdonalds/whatever discounts on them? That is really the only reason I can think this ticket exists.

RE: BGW Christmas Town 2013

Maybe the fun card will only be available through opening day? Then you need to get the flex card for more than 1 day?

RE: BGW Christmas Town 2013

My only question is:

1) You offer a product for your pass holders then without notice offer it to everyone decreasing the value of a pass, why? The only things really special about the Christmas Town Pass is the $25 it was in Sept/Oct.

See, even at the same price of $30, the added pass benefits make the price alright, but they should have kept it at the low price of $25 for pass holders.

RE: BGW Christmas Town 2013

This is insane. Remember how I said a while back that $30 for unlimited Christmas Town admission was too cheap for pass holders? Guess what, that's 100x more true for non-pass holders. Completely disregarding what a slap in the face this is to pass holders, just the degree to which this event is being so undersold is, frankly, sickening. I guess I should prepare for a park flooded with random guests who paid next to nothing to get in. Splendid. Just splendid.

RE: BGW Christmas Town 2013

This is the first year that Busch isn't offering the Twitter specials of $5-$15 tickets because of this deal and I have seen a lot of people FREAKING out on various Hampton Roads blogs because of how expensive it will be this year (since now they will have to spend $120 for a family of four).

I don't think people understand how deals work.
