Flight of Lights technically didn't exist last year. Flight of Lights was back when there was only one stop on and off, that was England. The lines were so long, they decided to just open the sky ride as usual, stopping at each of the three stops. I wouldn't be shocked if they didn't list Flight of Lights or Sky Ride.

I noticed that Christmas lights have already started to go up at several buildings. Howl-O-Scream is still going on.

So CT is just decorations and Santa this year? You can get that for free at the mall.

Well, all the core shows will be returning so there's that...

Honestly though, Christmas Town 2013 is looking like a very... lackluster... year for the event. I'm sure it will be a good time and whatnot, but I'm not really seeing anything to get excited over. :-/

Christmas Town is all about the atmosphere. It always has been and always will be. It has always been mostly lights with a couple attractions and three major shows.

Yes, but even atmosphere requires refinement. Special events have to evolve. Christmas Town has the advantage of requiring less evolution each year than Howl-O-Scream, but I still think people will be disappointed if left with nothing new. This is the first year that the park won't be debuting a new (or at least heavily modified) show and this is also the first year that the park won't be opening a new area of the park. Both of those things were originally planned for Christmas Town 2013. Neither are happening.

I wouldn't say that CT is the equivalent of the holiday season at the Mall. For starters, there is parking at BGW.

Serioulsy, the lights are phenomenal. There are specialty foods and drinks. There are the penguin exhibit and the Penguin Insider tour. I believe the train, Verbolten, and several children's rides will be open, as well. And there are shows and Santa.

Is it an event on the scale of HOS? No. But it is really beautiful and I have always had a lot of fun, myself.

The event will be evolving. Aquitaine gets a whole new look this year. I am just saying that the atmosphere is all there needs to be. You don't need anything more than lights, Santa, the foods, drinks, shows, and other attractions. There is so much already.

Honestly you can't compare Christmas Town to anything, except other Christmas theme park events. It is nothing like any of the other things that go on in the state. It will always be something the park can do a lot better than KD or any mall. It is a nice and simple event that really looks amazing.

Considering KD doesn't even have a christmas event, that should be easy! :p

KD couldn't even being to try to have a Christmas event. More than half their rides would be shut down for the entire event due to cold weather.

Have consistency you do not.

Why because BGW can have just their coasters closed and still have more than half their rides open?

Yes it is about atmosphere, but they have rides too. Where did I say they had no rides at all? Please show me this.

If Hersheypark (an amusement park) can pull off a Christmas event successfully, then KD can do it too. In KDs defense, Flight of Fear can stay open, plus I'm sure the older coasters can handle cold temps. That really leaves the flats, which they have plenty of and all they'll need to do is add shows and Christmas lights.

- For the record, Hersheypark only opens one major thril attraction and the event still draws people.

Aquitaine is sparkling just fine right now. Check out the ash! :p

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
