Day after Christmas is going to be swamped. Don't quote me on this, but I've heard a few people say that Christmas Eves normally aren't too bad.
Joe said:...and Dig It Up is about museum exhibits coming to life (Night at the Museum-like). Night Beats is supposed to be about a club for vampires and Ulrich's dealing with his soon-to-be-afterwife. And I thought Deck the Halls was basically supposed to be an old-fashioned Christmas party that comes to life.
Anyway, if I may ask, does anybody know what kind of crowds should be expected for the day after Christmas? We're trying to go as close to Christmas as possible, since it looks like we'll be visiting CT after Christmas and want to keep as much of that Christmas spirit as possible. It just isn't the same when the same when all the employees are wishing you a happy New Year. :-/

Party Rocker said:One word for France => TINSEL. It is everywhere. From what I'm told, there are some interesting aspects. The large tree that now sits made out of silver tinsel where the Aquitaine Village Band used to play is wired up to be very similar to O Tannenbaum, a miniature light show goes off every so often. Als the theme of the area is the 12 Days of Christmas as mentioned previously. Silver tinsel people. Let the complaints begin.

Ice storms are beautiful. Tinsel isn't.
Party Rocker said:No I mean silver tinsel everywhere. Like everywhere. Not just a nice strand of garland, but everywhere.
ToddF said:So, what can you expect for this CT season? My prediction is that the price will continue to drop as the season progresses. I expect BGW knows that there is an attendance spike at the beginning and at the end of the season, with a dip in the middle. That dip represents money left on the table. The smart thing to do is to offer steep discounts targeted for those dates, to get people through the gates who would not attend at the original high prices. Even if the price was trivial (say $5), and those people are getting in for far less than those who paid full price, food and merch revenue goes up on those days.

Matthew said:If there was any panic at all it was influenced by PR, because he essentially told us that everything was going to be Garland, and had a very panicked tone to his posts. We weren't all that worried about it, he seemed to be the one all uncertain, and panicked.
