Opening at noon on crowded days is a smart move. It'll entice people to eat two meals there, instead of only dinner. Or at least dinner, and more snacks. It'll also help ease congestion getting into the park (parking at the turn style).

But, with noon openings, is that the time England opens? Or will England open at 11:30?

I don't believe CT has ever been open on Christmas.

I live 40 miles north of KD so go there a lot but not much to BGW, but I did go there to CT twice last year and enjoyed it (she only went once so she missed a few of the shows). So I went online and got tickets for my wife and me to go there on opening day on Nov 17th and then will be at KD the next weekend.

I expect it will probably be crowded on opening day but what the heck...

I would expect England opens at 11:30 AM.

That's a good point. I hadn't thought about the stroller thing but makes perfect sense. That will reduce a lot of time in the station.

They had announced that they were this year. Sources inside the park told that te made decisions to change after there was a large backlash on social media after they announced Christmas day opening earlier this year.

tbh I don’t know why anyone would rather go to the park Christmas Eve over Christmas Day. Christmas Eve is great to spend at home, with making cookies and watching movies and doing last minute shopping, and feeling cozy and exciting for the next day. On Christmas Day after you open presents it gets kinda boring. I always wanna go out and do something because i just can’t stand sitting around the house.

You go to the park on Christmas Eve because of the traditionally low crowds. I remember one year the park closed two hours early because it rained all night so there was nobody in the park. New Years Eve is the same.

I like that they are not open on xmas. I don't know that they are open on turkey day but I hope not. Frankly I wish they were not open on xmas eve and new years eve.

They origionally planned on opening Christmas Day but I think they had most employees outraged that they were going to have to work. I believe that was the biggest influence on that change. I personally think they should be closed both days but thats just me. I understand places like Disney being open but not regional parks. KD in comparison is closed both days.

I think Christmas eve is a great time to go to the park. It keeps the kids from watching the clock, counting down the hours until Santa comes. Makes them stir crazy, which makes them make me crazy!

Christmas day, after opening presents, we go to a movie in the afternoon, and then dinner as a family. Trappers smoke house just doesn't do it for our family for Christmas dinner.

They just did it again with the fairy godmother, except this time they are saying she was in France in 2012! Am I missing something?

Edit: Also, the clip shown was not from 2012. I'm almost positive that video was from 2009, given the tinsel and lack of a "Noel" sign. France didn't receive its 12 Days of Christmas (current, not pictured) overlay until 2013. 2012 has almost no historical significance in that area of Christmas Town.

I was going to purchase a ticket for a friend for next Sunday with the $20 'flash sale' - with only one ticket it is not really a savings over the member 'guest' discount since they tack on an $8.99 service charge... Oh well. I am better off just purchasing a $29 guest ticket at the park vs. buying a $20 ticket + $8.99 'service fee.

Edit: I really hope that the park makes two trains work as only running one would definitely be a disaster. Regardless not being able to use the trains as mode of transportation from one part of the park to another will still suck.

I even tried to purchase a $20 ticket for a friend for next weekend (I have platinum membership) but it wanted to tack on the $8.99 service charge. The member 'guest' ticket is $29.99 so probably better off just buying at park so we aren't tied to that date. It is hard to understand so many discounts/promotions that Busch Gardens runs.
 
WOW..some tickets are gone. According to the BG website , the following days no longer have tickets available for purchase:

November 23, 24
December 1, 8

Of course all are Saturdays, except for Black Friday.
