Sorry I was thinking when it said plunge it was referring to the drop inside, but I re-read it and understand now.

I might as well post this here: http://bgwfans.com/2012/christmas-town-details/

A lot of it is just rehashing what you all have already been talking about with a ton of my opinions thrown in for good measure.

On a completely unrelated note, enjoy the Christmas version of Big Ben by AppleSauce and the fancy homepage slider by yours truly.

Great write-up Zachary (and thanks for the shout-out ;))!

I'm really glad that Darkastle is under renovation this winter -- when I rode it at Howl-O-Scream the last few scenes were just straight up not. working. But it's good that they're opening up Festa to compensate for having essentially only one big ride open.

Has anyone heard any news about changes to either Polar Pathway or the penguin exhibit?

You didn't mention the Sesame Street show will there be any changes to this show? Inquiring minds want to know.
Last Saturday night one of the employees that worked this theater told me it was going to be the same show as last year.

Not sure if anyone else spotted this yet, but it may be that the Pompeii giant Santa might be relocating to the teacups... Sorry, peppermint twist... The ct website made it sound that way at least

As good as that sounds this picture is still on the 2012 website,

Then again it's under new for 2012..

I'd like to see the giant Santa swapped with the giant snow man in Aquitaine... I think that would look better.

I predict live polar bears in the Pompeii area. :p

Yes! After a few hours of being open, giving people time to get used to the sites, swap one or more of the polar bear benches out with a sleeping REAL polar bear. Then when kids crawl on him or he wakes to hunger...hilarity ensues.

Or...maybe just randomly stick a polar bear in one or two sky bucket cars. ;)

From what I've heard, the park is a little behind on schedule setting up, but not by much. Polar Pathway seems to have just gotten started, the Oktoberfest Christmas Tree is no where near set up, garland is strung from some buildings, lots of Howl-o-Scream decor is still up and about. And from other sources, I've heard Festa won't be getting touched until the week before Christmas Town opens, if all goes as scheduled. The most exciting news I've heard though is, the glow booth is gone and the wine barrel photo opp is back in place, but only to be used as the manger scene.

Now, for my input on things, I actually am interested to see how they put another million lights into Festa, which is now being referred to as Holiday Hills. I am interested to see all the different things going on, like how the Sky Ride is no longer an attraction. This year is very much like previous years, but so much more to it. Ever think the park will stop adding a million lights each year?
