Updating now would not be wise. Promoting an event in December when their biggest cash cow is coming up in four weeks would not be good at all. That leads me to believe HoS might hit a new level this year by focusing on that right now vs things far out in the future.

I understand that. However, it is also not wise to wait until November to update the site, which at this rate they will be.

At the same time, while I hope HOS is much better and scarier than it has been in recent years one would hope they won't put so much effort into HOS that they don't try as hard for CT. That would be an epic fail on their part.

To add a little side note...I'm not asking for BGW to add info to the site...I just feel it is reasonable to think they would have updated the look of the site for this years event by now.

well hos is in October and they update the site mid August, i'd say for the December event they may update the website mid Sept-early October. No conspiracy here.

So Mach Tower will be open to give you a view Of the lights but no drop? How cool if they added a Christmas soundtrack on the way up.

When someone gives you information, don't ask how they know it. They can't tell you. If they could, they would tell you up front to backup what they're saying.

Also, does anyone have any idea why Apollo would be running on February 5th? If that's when it was actually taken, that's actually a very interesting picture. Thanks for posting it!

The February 5th date that you saw was the date I uploaded the photo to flickr. It was taken on Opening Day 2006 - Late March.

I must be blind. I cannot see for the life of me where I happened to say November.

No need for sarcasm. You didn't say November. I'm simply stating that there "cash cow" as you put it runs until right at November. Hopefully there will be updates on CT while HOS is running and instead of the park waiting to do all of the updates within a 3-week window before CT opens.

xmas town will be epic.....no need to worry. Plus, it's pointless to update xmas town's site when they are still releasing info for hos....hos is their cash cow...why interrupt the suspense on that site and do an update for the production after. It will probably be updated while hos is running. Same with hos site being introduced while illuminights was running.... not before. :p

Anyone else notice in looking at the Xmastown interactive map that it shows Alpengeist as the lone coaster that is open this year and NOT Griffon? Unless I missed something (which wouldn't be the first time), this is new.

If you notice, Curse of DarKastle is also not listed as a ride open for CT this year.

we knew about this a while ago

Well I saw the CT add in grogan's. Looks like sesame street christmas is back. New show in abbystone, and alpengeist is going to be open.

add to that mach tower as an observation tower, this will be a fun christmastown, and a good value if it's still $20ish.

People, people...no need to freak out. I'm pretty sure there's a near 100% chance CoDK will be open...

They JUST started working on the CT site obviously so not everything that will be there is listed yet.

On a side note, I'd be willing to bet that either Festa or Sesame Street land will be open this year. I would say both if we're really lucky...but that may be a long shot.
