That's why I asked how that guy knows that sesame isn't coming back ^^

my phone died. The only reason I noticed was because in Grogan's (by Annie's cafe) you can actually hear the sound of the display in there. Lots of cool info on CT though. Maybe someone can get a good capture.

Why can't Mach tower operate during CT? It's a great view of the lights!

It has very specific restrictions to be able to run the ride. It is incapable of operation in high winds or in temperatures higher than 110 degrees or below 32 degrees. And if this winter is anything like last weekend...it'll be well below 32 degrees a lot
But dont they shut the griffon down if it gets below 45 degrees?

Yea...somewhere in the low 40's...so my guess is they will be able to run Mach tower....At least at the beginning of Xmas town, last year, griffon was running quite a bit....I really don't believe it will get down below 32 until late december or even January...

The cut-off point is 40 degrees the ride has sensors over all of it to detect the temapture and wind speed if the windspeed gets above 40 then they shut down and if the tempature gets below 40 the computers automatically shut down the ride.

I'm seriously wondering what the hold up is with updating the CT site..not with info but changing the look for this year as they do with the HOS site every year. I mean, Mach Tower is open, Oktoberfest has been renovated, and all of the HOS info is basically out now. So i'm really hoping they start updating soon.

Updating now would not be wise. Promoting an event in December when their biggest cash cow is coming up in four weeks would not be good at all. That leads me to believe HoS might hit a new level this year by focusing on that right now vs things far out in the future.

I talked to several of the ride ops at Mach Tower at different times of the day and asked them if they knew if it would be open for Christmas Town. They all said the same thing: observation only, no drop.

Take it for what it's worth...
