Just as an FYI, the 3 consecutive day pass for CT is only $29.99 reg price ($26.99 for passmembers). That's a really good deal.
Remember, they are open two full weeks at the end of the year. We'll probably definitely take advantage of this when the kids are off school for winter break.

I was told today that there are some Christmas lights already up, CT banners up, and some other stuff. The globe is closed for CT prep. I also heard they are now closing off the theatre in Italy for the Miracles show?
Can anyone verify these things?

Ha! I bought this snow globe at HOS as soon as I saw it. I have it on my bed stand and play the music everyday. Gets me all happy and excited not only for the holidays; but for CT too! It plays "winter wonderland".
I wonder if we will have a winter wonderland again this year with some real snowfalls at Christmas Town.
Yeah, we just noticed them yesterday. We never make it past the cuckoo clocks where my kids bug the employees to demonstrate them all.

From the way things seem to be shaping up, our area along with most of the eastern half of the US looks to be in store for a colder and POTENTIALLY active December. That is before the typical SE Ridging associated with La Nina sets in by January.
But the consensus among us meteorologists seems to be that this month and next month will be the two colder, active months in the cold season. With a return to cold, active weather by late February and March as the La Nina begins to rapidly collapse.
So in short, snow this december is more likely than usual.

BGW has updated their Facebook page to reflect Christmas Town. They also posted a new video on their YouTube account with clips from last year to begin advertisement for this years event.
I'm looking to post a few trip reports from different people on the main page once Christmas Town is open. If you're interested in writing an article or two (maybe first impressions and final impressions articles) and have it/them be featured on the main site, let me know either here or in PM.

okay so this will be my first time going to CT, and i'm trying to plan it all out, any suggestions what i should do there, or what place to eat, or anything please it would help
Well if you're planning on seeing everything and considering it's your first time going, I'd start out in England and just work my way around. Ending in San Marco which will take you back to Scotland and back to the gate.spookybri said:

Of course, if you have enough money you could always get a snack in England before you begin to tithe you over until later.
This is my 2nd time going. We've seen everything so we're gonna go through England and Scotland then go to check out the new stuff in Italy. Then we'll head to Oktoberfest to eat at the festhaus and work our way clockwise around the park and see the rest.
Just on a side note: I can't believe people like that Peppermint Hot Chocolate. That had to be one of the most horrible things I've ever tasted. Even booze didn't help it. :dodgy:

I hate to say it, I liked the peppermint - but in small doses. I could only drink about half the mug because it was so sweet and rich. The regular hot chocolate was fine and I had WAAAY to many cups. Still running off the pounds now I think.
I am not sure who tried this meal, but last year I had the good fortune of visiting Christmas Town often and therefore, was able to sample many foods around the park.
My favorite was the Cornish Hen in Ireland's Grogan's Grille. It was so delicious and I highly recommend the platter. Other advice- see the shows early and if you wish to eat at the Festhaus do so early... it gets so crowded. Though this year with Italy open and their large outdoor eating area that is now enclosed and heated, we may see a bit less in the Festhaus as far as crowds.
