It probably seems a little early for a Christmas Town 2010 thread, however one of our readers found an interesting sign while she was in the park the other day.

Picture and more information can be viewed here.

Christmas Town for 2010 has been confirmed with Italy being open.

Anyone excited?

Yeah, FlyerMiles actually put a pic of the sign showing Italy would be open for Xmas Town in 2010.

Glad to see they are going to expand it.

I was there saturday and heard some of the same things. if you checkout the thread last weekend of CT I posted some of the stuff I was told.

Hey guys, I just finished watching the last light show of the year on the live Webcam. It was pretty cool to see the final show from home. I saw a family get hurried out by security around 10:17pm and then the whole tree was turned off. Sort of sad in a way. Regardless, it was nice to sign off the season with those who were able to see the last hurrah live.

Ya, FlyerMiles found it first, I believe. You might want to give him a little shout-out in the first post...

They have Christmas Town 2010 posted in the special events section of the BG website. The dates are 11/26-12/26/2010. So it looks like initial plans are not to run until New Year's (oh well). Many of the employees were telling me they were definitely doing more dates and longer hours.

Wow, when my parents and I were at the park on Saturday, my mom and I noticed that. I actually didn't think much of it till now lol. I can't wait to see what Xmas Town has in store for us next year.

I didn't see a picture, so I started a new thread. Sorry.

I'm excited they're doing Christmas Town this year, as I had a choice between Christmas Town and Howl-o-Scream. I picked Howl-o-Scream hoping and praying they'd do Christmas Town for a second year.

They're expanding to Italy, which makes me hope there will be more stuff to do. One coaster open? Okay, Griffon isn't a bad coaster (and I know Christmas Town isn't just about the rides), but the selection seemed slim to none. Alpengeist is better themed to Christmas than Griffon. :p

I agree, Alpengeist is better suited for Christmas, but it didn't matter since it was too cold to run Griffin the night I went. I still had a blast though and look forward to next year.

I just read Chris' "What We Know About Christmas Town 2010" and I thought I might add something. He said that he would assume that DaVinci Gardens would be open. When I was there the first day, while the Battering Ram and Flying Machine were open, DaVinci's Cradle was not. I asked someone operating the Battering Ram about DiVinci's Cradle. They said that it wouldn't operate in the cold weather.

Thanks for the info, the post has been amended.

I think it was a little obvious that if they had CT for a 2nd year they would have to open Italy because they had to open it this year and plus they need more room and more traffic flowing away from Germany to accommodate the large flows of crowds that go to Germany. (BTW the sign says that Italy will be open and it will be called "Buon Natale" which means Christmas in Italian.)

I vaguely recall them releasing all the juicy details on Christmas Town for 2009 in July because they had some type of meet and greet with Santa at the park. Christmas in July only makes sense! :)
