It really wouldn’t have made any sense at all to do it any other way. Not with only doing 900 feet of track. If it was a full re-track maybe we would be having a different discussion, but it wouldn’t make any sense to have half and half.
Any new photos? Visiting Sunday but wondering if there's anything new
Will it be open Sunday? In class rn so can't check myselfThe park is closed this week.

But this drawing set also shows a little of the structure to be placed over the track at the final brake run seems as if it’s going to be is own structure and not an extension of the station.
It was discussed earlier in the thread it was originally in the plans, it’s a multiple purpose building, protect riders from the elements during slow unload times, protect riders from dropped devices on alpengeist, and also a good structure to protect the trains when parked outside. Was there an extension of the station planned before and it's been changed?
Yeah I don’t know what that is I assume the engineer got the track angle wrong in the drawing and didn’t correct it because it doesn’t really matter for the permitIs that a track fakeout?![]()
That is so awesome to hear, for the most part engineers are super proper so it would be odd for them to leave an error on a drawing set, but that track wasn’t in the “defined area of the scope of the permit” so it would have been okay to leave on there. It’s awesome to have a hint of what we have going on. It seems as if the park is putting in a great effort and preserving everything we hold dear about Nessie while very much providing a new ride experience.I think it's a fake-out using part of the original track as scenery. The proposed structure inside the prelift turnaround and the three weird box things are also related I believe. The rumor I heard a while back was that there was going to be some sort of notable set piece/storytelling element (facade/diorama?) during the pre-lift portion of the ride. It is one of the things I've been keeping silent about out of a fear that it could have been budget cut away. These plans give me a lot of hope that it's still slated to happen though!
Taking stock of what I'm tracking publicly (official and rumored) thus far:
Updated queue, updated station, prelift scene, lift audio, Loch Ness "sighting" on the first drop, new cave effects with the monster featured, new final brakes shade structure, new train styling, 900ft of new track, new ride programming, and a full coaster repaint.
So if it's so close to done, why in the world does it need another presumably 3 months (at least) until reopening?
