I did see that post. If it’s all the way by KI, could Clermont Steel be manufacturing the track? After all, they did manufacture Arrow track before they went under.
Talked to the original poster he doesn't want credit for it but is OK with it being shared. He said the picture was taken in Franklin Ohio which would be North West of Clermont's lantern if Google had the right location and would seem to be heading the wrong direction to ship to BGW.

Does anyone know when they last had the light up nessie in the tunnel? Also any links to videos or pictures would be great! Thanks!

Good to know I'm not the only one who remembers.

It must have been the late 90's or very early 00's IIRC.

From what I can remember, it never had audio but the interior walls of the tunnel had an illuminated image of the entire monster at one point; the following summer season it was only the head at the end for a few more years until it went completely dark and probably removed from the tunnel walls.

If I had to guess, this removal happened right around the time of the acquisition of AB by InBev and subsequent selling off of the parks division.

I further guess this was due to provide some tunnel maintenance access and (from what we collectively understand about this kind of on-ride effect) it's unlikely there was any time, money, or interest from the entertainment department to reinstall it presuming there was anything left to install.

In any case, it'd be awesome if they could permanently bring back the tunnel as the monster's layer. I suspect they may have to rebuild portions if not the whole tunnel structure to remove and replace the track anyways.

I was hoping to get both the loops set up in my back yard 😂

You joke but I do wonder if a color scheme change would be on the table. Something a little wacky like the interlocking supports becoming a kelly green.
Photos of two different track segments have appeared both are in the classic yellow.

Also preference this with my vision I'd horrible without my glasses which I don't wear when I ride coasters but it looked like there was track visible at the back of the employee lot when I rode Griffon today.

Hopefully this means some slight re profiling for the few janky spots. That transition before the 2nd drop (before 1st loop) could be so much better with just a bit of love.

Maybe some netting goes in to allow for the trains to go through the loop together? One could dream.

LNM track looks like it made it to the park but the post got flagged or brought down.
Worth noting that the picture in that post was stolen without credit from a comment on the BGW Fans post. The original post is still up so that might have been part of the issue.

The sharp transitions are inherent to Arrow Dynamics roller coasters. They were designed without modern computer aided design and without progressive banking.

I’m not trying to come off as an old fogey, but you gotta take Loch Ness Monster warts and all.

Kelly Green on the supports with the yellow track would be the only possible color change I’d support because that would look amazing
I think the canary yellow is as much of a trademark as the interlocking loops. I figured this and the Wolf had gray supports to help the structure blend into the landscape while still allowing the track cutting through the tree cover to stand out.

As much as the interlocking loops stand on their own (and barring how the triple launch on TT2 feels will probably remain to this day my favorite roller coaster element) I would love to see them find a way to make them really pop.

Do we know if they are re-tracking any of the helix? If they are, I wonder if they'll have to remove the cave around it. Would be a cool opportunity to replace the "O" shaped cave structure with a full building and put some theming in the middle of the helix instead of just having lights on the interior wall.
