I will be returning to see this transformation on Day 1 that its reopened. This is a crucial step in getting BGW back to a "must-visit" park for me.

I am cautiously optimistic though, as there is room for error here in cheapening the history of this ride with shabby re-theming or lapses in aspects that made it special from the start. I don't mean to Debbie Down, but SEAS has fumbled in many areas as of late, and I hope they are using professionals who are well-versed in the gravity of this coaster and the story that makes it so iconic.

PS- If I see a SINGLE "Sponsored by Coca-Cola" sticker in the queue line, I'm gonna have an aneurism.

"Expect SIGNIFICANT track replacement & other attraction upgrades for 2024."

Aside from new trains or lighting package, not sure what else this would mean.
Hopefully, it means revamping the theming in the queue! It used to be so much more fun, with sound effects and everything. I haven't heard it in years.

I got to ride Python at Efteling last month. It’s as smooth as glass and has great forces. It rides almost like a modern coaster — they basically removed the janky Vekoma bumpiness. If Nessie’s renovation has a similar impact on its Arrow jankiness, it’ll be a game changer.
I'm actually kinda bummed Nessie might be losing some of the jankiness. It's what gives the ride some character

Wait, you mean to tell me that Arrow coasters don’t actually have a shelf life of 33 years?

That wasn't what I was asking.

Why do you think that the station and queue don't currently fit the theme? Of all of the coasters at BGW, Nessie would be the last I would say that about.

I can see wanting the existing theming to be refreshed, since some of it has been neglected, but I wouldn't say it doesn't match the them or needs to be overhauled.

And I imagine it could be referring to the cave, for what it is worth.

No fear, it shouldn't loose any "jankiness". Most, if not all, of the infamous Arrow transitions should remain.

The view from the Italy Bridge should look quite different this Christmas Town. I am VERY excited for this renovation and can't wait to see the final product.

Should this be all we except for next year? Also does other attraction upgrades mean different attractions or other upgrades on this attraction? I wouldn't mind a season of refurbishment, but a replacement flat would be nice too!

If other attractions are upgraded, I know a certain Italian themed ride in Area 1 that could use it (which I speak of in the appropriate thread).

My thoughts: very excited to see something come that’s very rare for Arrow looping coasters. Can’t wait to also see if those cave effects return.

This will be interesting. Hopefully we see some reprofiled banking and not just a piece-by-piece track replacement. Would the park replace the recent replaced trains again?

If they do any reprofiling, hopefully it won't remove all the janky Arrow character and make it feel like any other modern ride instead.

If it doesn't remove some jank, not sure what's the purpose of work. I would be all for removing headbanging in the helix and the bouncing out of the loops, but not moderating the curve after the first drop too much. And be super careful with those drops, somehow they make my stomach clench more than any other.

The first drop still gives me butterflies in my stomach even though many modern rides don't anymore, so there's something to be said for that.

I wonder if they can also make whatever modifications necessary to get two trains in the loops at the same time again like they used to do all the time. Perhaps installing an in-queue locker may help?
