Sorry if this us the wrong area. I've lost my pass. Wasnt there a time frame where you could go to the park and buy a new pass. Id rather go then to get a replacement than do it on opening day.

If i’m not mistaken, I belive in the membership website FAQ’s they had mentioned that legacy membership(pre-oct) would stay grandfathered in at the current rate.

If the legacy membership was paid in full, when it’s time to renew will we have the option to continue the same membership (benefits and price)?

If I were to purchase another pass now, it wouldn’t begin until I redeemed it at the park right, my pass is still good till June, I don’t want to miss out on this current offer but I also don’t want to forfeit 3 months that I’ve paid for

As far as I know, the pass normally begins at the point of purchase, not redemption (as asinine as that is).

So according to Busch Gardens Pass Member Site my contract terms have been met and my next Payment will stay at $50.00 monthly.

However I will be confirming that once my payment posts to my bank account officially as its still in Pending at the moment.

The Highlighted green box confirms this at least for now.

Exactly......because the whole reasoning with the memberships was to get everyone up to paying the same every year and end those longstanding passholders. But the memberships are 5 year contracts so you wont pay more unless you choose to for 5 years even if the membership prices go up......makes sense right?

i wouldnt hold them to a 5 year lock, they couldnt even keep the previous 5 year lock longer than a couple years

As far as I know they have never raised your price as long as your account is in good standing and continues to be paid monthly. There are people who have had $9 a month Platinum passes for like 15 years because they keep their payment updated

EDIT:

I did call today and confirm that now my Membership is month to month with the $50.00 for all 3 memberships still in place.

One thing that was new my Sister in Law alerted me too and it's strange. If you call and cancel A new membership plan apparently they allow the cancellation after the 12 months as stated but then they extend your membership for A seemingly random amount of time with no extra charges. Her family's membership is up for 12 month in March and were told they would get to keep using there membership to August for Free. I was quoted A day in May that we could continue to use our Membership until despite it possibly being canceled in the near future with no additional charges as well.

I don't know the rationale behind this unless the plan is to make you reconsider your cancellation during your "free time"

So that's today's weirdness from Seas Customer Service.

What do you mean? Ther are people who are still locked into the price from 10 years ago if thats the pass they want to have. No one, so far has had their contract broken.

the whole point of memberships was specifically to get rid of any price lock - they can cancel annual passes at anytime and force people into a price hike

Which no one should have a problem with. If all of us owned a business that financially wasn't doing great, we would do anything to change the rates and get everyone paying the same amount.

I said it way back when they announced this: I was more mad that someone was paying half of what I was paying for the same benefits I got, just because they happened to live here long before I moved here. So if I were paying $16 a month, and they were paying $10 a month, was the value really $13 a month and I was just subsidizing them? Or was it really $16 a month and they were raising daily ticket prices to offset the cheaper passes? Or were they not accounting or that, and operating as if everyone was paying more and that's what put some of the stress on the budget?

We were specifically told that the new rates were only guaranteed for 12 months:

It is worth noting that the current rate will be locked in for at least 12 months. The cost will remain the same, until the park decides to raise the price of everyone’s Membership simultaneously, so there is no established annual price increase. In fact, Dan confirmed that there are no current plans to increase the Membership rates for the foreseeable future. You will still have the option of either using EZpay or paying-in-full for an entire year at once, if you prefer.

That, of course, does not mean that the prices will go up now, or in the immidiate future. They did, however, reserve the right to increase the rates as appropriate after 12 months.

I'm confused, on social media BGW wass advertising sales where if you bought within a certain date WCUSA is included.

Do memberships no longer include WCUSA? If they don't, I'll be furious...

The original Memberships do. The modified ones split WCUSA out, in response to vocal complaints from people who didn't want the water park.

As far as we know, if you are on EZPay, you can keep your original plan. We are currently investigating that, however.

Here are the details of the updates they made to the Membership program.

So I called today to cancel 4/5 of my memberships. We're keeping 1 membership for the benefits (discounts, parking), but the rest of the family got the Black Friday 2 park fun cards for $70.

Anyway, my EZ pay account shows the next payment to be $20 on my (I have the pre-Oct premier membership, so presumably no price increase).

All 5 passes say they are set to expire on my payment date in March. I assume once my payment goes through, the expire date will get pushed back 1 month for that pass.

Yes, your pass should expire on the payment date, as you are no longer paying for them.

Despite others saying that some memberships seem to be extended beyond their expiration for no reason, that is not supposed to happen, and is more than likely a technical glitch than anything else. It should not be expected, but should it happen, a nice surprise.
