RE: Concerts 2013

コットナウトロー: どういたしまして。 :)

Kotu-na-u-to-ro (Cotnoutlaw)-: doo itashimashite. (You're welcome)

ノーラー (Nora)

I think the reserved seating is more of a shaded area with a tent. It may have changed this year.

RE: Concerts 2013

Pandora- that was a hilarious skit! Thanks :) I'm glad someone else remembers that. Don't get me started on the skit with Stefon Zolesky on SNL. I about cry in laughter every time that Bill Hader goes on air.

wannaplay1999- I heard from team members this year and it is unconfirmed by the park that you will need to pick up a ticket at the Royal Palace Theater and you will have a "seat number." When tickets run out- that is it.

The earlier you are at the RPT the better the seats you get.

Has anyone else heard confirmation on this?

RE: Concerts 2013

It would be so much easier if they moved concerts back to the Festhaus Park. No need for tickets or reserved seats. Just grab a towel and sit on the lawn.

Granted that area of the park is a bit on the crowded side at times, I'd still prefer having concerts there.

RE: Concerts 2013

Nora, I was told that, they will give out general admission tickets ate the RPT, but they will NOT be numbered. Carl Lum, I believe mentioned that you can stay in line but only for better seats. Basically, a similar method to how the tickets were distributed via the Victoria Justice concert.

So, if you wanted to see a concert, arrive at the RPT as soon as possible to claim a General Concert Admission ticket. Once you claim your ticket you have two options, 1) Go play in the park all day and be back by like 6PM for the show and choose any seat you desire but probably not a perfect seat or 2) Wait in line all day for the best free seats you can possibly get. If the theater is not full by 6PM, they will start letting just anyone without a ticket in assuming people may have gotten a ticket but changed their minds and left the park already.

I see this method working out very well, definitely will reduce lines for seating, hopefully by a lot. This method really does no good unless it is a crazy packed concert. If it is a not so popular concert, I see no point in handing out tickets period.

RE: Concerts 2013

I thought as much. That is why I am glad I went ahead and forked over the money for VIP seating for Styx. I am not a fan of waiting in line, nor sitting way in the back when it comes to theater style seating.

Had the concert been on the lawn say, at Festhaus park, I would have been more apt to sit on a blanket, relax, and enjoy the music no matter how far away I was from the stage.

Thanks for the info.

I dont go to concerts at theme parks, especially when the artist is playing in the same place I live along with two other artists.

RE: Concerts 2013

So I saw Styx last night, Holy shit, what an amazing experience. These guys pulled off one of the best concerts I have ever seen. I had great seats and the crowd was great too! If you are not going to the concert at BGW, GO! You'll thank me later :p

REO speedwagon was pretty good, but damn, their getting old.

Darn it!! I expect that they won't play it for whatever reason. But I am putting forth my positive energy in hope of convincing them to play Mr. Robot for me. :)

• Please refer to the general concert admission ticket and park handouts for more information and restrictions.

RE: Concerts 2013

So I called to cancel those tickets, but according to them Billy Currington's people haven't canceled the concert yet. Maybe the BGW Facebook people are jumping the gun on it. I'm just gonna keep the tickets for now and maybe someone good comes if not the Currington guy. Fun fact though: you have up to 24 hours before the event day to cancel your reservation for a full refund.
