Moving bushes? I don't even remember this effect. Mind elaborating on that? It sounds really cool.

I do agree that the queue needs some love. The gator needs to be fixed up, and the swirling around him needs to be turned back on. And why don't they play the creepy music there anymore? It can be heard inside the building when exiting, but not in the queue itself. I would love it if the fog machines were turned back on, but that probably isn't very realistic at this point. Really, though, can it be that difficult or expensive to fix?

The area where the Mystery Machine used to be really needs something. What about a big tombstone that says "Here Lies Boocifer," blah blah blah. Maybe an enclosed speaker could have Boocifer talking, and it could shake periodically or something.

Oh, and they should bring back the photo op with Boocifer by the waterfall. Right now it's just a Planet Snoopy banner, which isn't really necessary anymore. The photo op could hype the ride up a bit.

They're pretty simple fixes, so it's a shame the park doesn't get around to them. It would be so great for the ride if they just gave it some love. Maybe with the improvements to so many other park attractions this season, Boo Blasters won't be far back in line.

I looked around for a picture or a video and couldn't find anything.

I guess when the ride was Scooby Doo and the Haunted Mansion, there was some sort of progressing storyline that started right when you entered the queue. Before you go onto the bridge, one of the bush's branches would move back and forth and you could hear sound effects of Scooby as if he were hiding in the bush. I loved all the little touches like this in the queue line, made it one of the more entertaining rides to wait in line for. We need more entertaining queue lines!

I found some pretty cool pictures of the ride's original incarnation as Scooby-Doo and the Haunted Mansion. All photos were found here.

A statue of "Our Hero" Scooby. I've yet to see any other picture of this online.

The Mystery Machine in the queue. The park should really put something in its spot now.

The old Mystery Machine ride vehicles with their "Fright Lights."

Who can spot the difference here?

Some spinning Scooby-Doo monsters in the background, now replaced by more generic creepy creatures.

Jeepers!

This animated set, showing the story's villain being hauled off to the big house, was located where the animatronic Boocifer is in the ride's final scene.

It's interesting seeing some of the changes this ride has received.

While I don't particularly enjoy the ride, I must say Paramount did a really good job with it. It was well placed, themed, and a nice addition. It has gotten a bit sparse since they left.

Boo blasters block system

Does Boo Blasters have a block system like roller coasters do? I'm not sure if it does because the vehicles move at a constant speed throughout the whole ride. However, I have heard something about shooting your blaster at a block sensor switch which gets u more points.

RE: Boo blasters block system

I've never heard of shooting a block sensor for points, but I can tell you that the technology used for propelling boo blaster cars is half a century old. At least.

Your question is a fairly good question, though I think your question would be better placed under the Boo Blasters thread itself, also located under operating attractions.
. Aw shoot

No idea whether shooting them actually gives you points, but a source from the park has informed me that Boo Blasters does have blocks- lots of them. 19 blocks to be exact.
And how many vehicles are on the ride?

That’s awesome news! The fog wall was one of the ride’s coolest and most unique effects, and I don’t think it’s worked since the ride debuted as Boo Blasters on Boo Hill in 2010.

This is probably thanks to the extra TLC that the park tends to get during its off-years, but I like to think it has something to do with the yellow coaster down the hill not sucking up the whole of the park’s maintenance budget :p
