So we just got done--that was the best red velvet cake I've ever had. I'll add more later!

This. It totally was!! I had two pieces myself. I was having so much fun and watching my daughter enjoy herself, I neglected to do my usual round of pics for food and whatnot. never fear! I will definitely be attending this event again soon.

Full lyrics for the song they all sing at the end of the show:

I am what I am
During the day, I'm forced to hunker
I fly through the night, it's a delight
I'm a bloodsucker

It's my world and I want to have a little pride in
My world and it's not a place I have to hide in
Life's not worth the glam
Till you can say, "Hey world! I am what I am"

EVERYONE!

I am what I am
I don't want praise, I don't want pity
I bang my own drum
Some think it's noise, I think it's pretty

And so what if I love each sparkle and each spangle
Why not try to see things from a different angle
Your life is a sham
Till you can shout out loud, "I am what I am!"

I am what I am
And what I am needs no excuses
No Darling, no excuses
I deal my own deck
Sometimes the ace, sometimes the deuces

There's one life and there's no deposit, no returning
One life so it's time to open up your coffin
Life's not worth the glam
Till you can shout, "Hey world! I am what I am!"

I think we just found Scott's theme song...

Seriously though, the thing is super catchy.

I did this on Sunday! It was really cool, this has to be the best thing they've done since the F&WF!!!! The show was hilarious, we had a conversation with the "Mom" about her New England accent. The vampire bell hop who made the announcements was hilarious, and he decided that my Grandmother was his "afterwife," the finale was great! Everything about it was cool, culinary/entertainment did a great job!! By the way it was pretty busy when I went only a couple tables weren't occupied.

So against my better judgement I will be reserving tickets via the internet. I hope to be there early.

Also, towards the end of the night last weekend, they did allow me to go inside and check out the food and everything without paying after I asked very nicely.

My boyfriend and I have been lurkers of the site for awhile, but have never posted. After reading how much Blood Banquet was hyped on the forum, we decided to try it out and I had to create an account to post our review.

Overall, I was really disappointed and did not think it was worth the money.

The food was meh, not bad, but nothing to write home about. It was nice that it was a buffet and that I could get different foods (compared to what is usually offered at the park) but the 'interactive pasta bar' was literally just pasta with Alfredo sauce and marinara and many of the other dishes were just basic sides. I will say that my boyfriend really enjoyed the lamb stew and I liked the desserts.

For the show....that was possibly the cheesiest thing in the world. I thought maybe it was just me but no one around me was laughing (except for this 2 year old baby who seemed to REALLY enjoy it) and everyone just looked uncomfortable. Vlad and a few others did make the rounds once or twice to all the tables and I thought that was nice, though they didn't spend very long.

My biggest issue (beyond the show not being my cup of tea) was the operational element of it. It is a nice location, but it really looses its exclusivity when anyone can just walk up to the gate and watch the show from outside. Secondly, nobody was monitoring the exit gates near the bathrooms and I'm almost positive that I saw multiple people come in without paying. It was unclear enough that I didn't feel right saying anything, but it still made me realize how easy it would be to come in without a ticket.

So conclusion, was not a fan. Also, just to give you a bit of background to my 'demographic,' I grew up next to Busch Gardens and have been a pass member for about 20 years. I also now work in marketing for a major tourism site, so this may make me a bit more critical when it comes to pricing experiences. Hope this was helpful to anyone trying to decide if this is worth their time.

Nice to hear a differing opinion. The food items I like there are few and specific; demon-spiced turkey, chili & velvet cake I could eat all day. The rest I could be OK without, especially the pasta. You're right about the show being cheesy. I didn't used to like cheese as much, but I think what may have biased me in favor of this show is knowing so many of the performers. They are having fun. I enjoy watching them have fun. It's like hanging out with friends at a cosplay or something. About the exclusivity of this feast, you are correct again. Honestly it doesn't bother me though 'cause that just means I can come by and see buddies performing without having to pay. :p

As food is concerned, the pasta was my favorite thing. Yes it isn't interactive but it was extremely yummy. I had a hard time deciding between alfredo or tomato as far as sauce goes.
