RE: BGW Attendance Drops 3.4%
There is also a lot of ignorance by the GP, that they find a way to blame on park management. I had a guy last week tell me he heard that the Park is fighting with the City of Williamsburg and THAT is what is holding up Mach Tower from running. I reminded him that BG is not in City Limits and he just shrugged. I heard another say that the new management is cheap and THAT is why the show in the Abbey Stone is the same as last year. Of course WE all know that they almost always keep shows for several years per run. Point being, that people WANT to think the worst of anything new and Blackstone will get NO free passes with the locals.
I'll be honest, I've noticed nothing remarkably different before and after the Blackstone change on my visits. (other than the Wolf being removed, which was pre Blackstone anyway right?) But I don't have the long term history that some of you do with BGW so my perspective is only for the last 3 and a half years.
