Ummm, can you get diet vanilla rootbeer from the freestyle machines? Is there any extra cost for a refill from a freestyle machine?

Man, this would actually be quite cool if they could only do a few union jacks. Not nearly as bad as I thought.
Also, could somebody film a video of walking down here if possible? I'd like to see what it's like actually walking down here.
EDIT: Globe Theatre is absolutely NAUSEATING. I hope they could at least return the original paint and remove the stupid metal fence!

They are actually doing a fantastic job at advertising in-park. Much of this is, of course, temporary. They made a display that you would not miss and would be curious about. I even saw London Rocks! mentioned at the end of a BGW commercial after watching Meet the Browns ;-P

Most of this, I can guarantee you is not temporary, perhaps the gates and red carpets are, but you can expect just about everything else, to be there throughout the rest of the regular season, and most likely next year.

I know. My definition of temporary is that it won't be there as long as a permanent structure. I would expect most of the decorations to remain for a year or two...or three.

Or until the show retires, which probably won't be for another 4 or 5 years. By that time I'll be in college.

The fence is a permanent structure as long as the ticket system is in place. The flags are only there for the main season along with the sign and paint. Honestly, the area looks much more regal and important. Do nite they also had actors dressed as British Guards outside the Globe today. All theater hosts have new outfits, black pants and white shirt with red velvet vest. It really is quite amazing. Also note there has been a handful of new theatrical lighting added near the front of the Globe and the back of Hnion Snacks facing to the Globe. They are not black lights, but hopefully as it gets darker they will look cooler.

I'm really having a hard time determining how I feel about this. Like, some of it is actually quite impressive, but at the same time it's bit gaudy and doesn't fit in well. The park does a thorough job, but sometimes the idea itself is flawed.

I will remain on the fence until I see how this plays out in the long run.

I may not know much about the British Invasion, but I do know the British Invasion Era in England did not have bright neon colors, and flags hung all over the place. Making this pretty un-realistic if that's what they were going for. They wanted to give the area new "life" but there are other ways to achieve that, rather than painting gaudy colors everywhere, and hanging an overwhelming amount of flags.
