I'll probably get shot for saying this, but I like the bus as well. The only thing I dislike is the neon colors on the Globe, though I think the sign promotes the show well.

*shoots*

I don't like the bus because it's so bare, I mean it's just red, there's no detail to it, at all. And the paint looks not-so red, at times in some pictures, it looks orange.(IMO)

Either way to me all the decorations look horrible, Union Snacks looks good, but everything else looks just terrible. Let's just say none of this improved the area one bit, I don't care what some of you are saying to defend it, it's tacky and to a lot of the people who see it, that's the first thing that's going to pop into their minds.

I guess it is time for me to jump in with the unpopular view.

Without having seen anything in person, I agree that the Globe itself is an eyesore. In fact, the arch looks like some horrendous mash-up of the Care Bears and Rainbow Brite. The paint colors seem (from the pictures) to clash, as well.

That said, I don't mind the bus. And I actually like the flags. They strike me fair fairly authentic, actually. As I said before it looks as if the Queen is having an important birthday, or something.

To me, the flags aren't too bad, they're actually kind of festive and pretty. I don't really like the bus, but I didn't really like the kiosks that were there before so it doesn't make a difference to me. The paint on the front of the globe definitely clashes and looks awful. I think if they would have just put up the sign it would have looked nice. I actually really like the look of Union Snacks. That was probably the only good addition. I'm going tomorrow, so I'll get to see all of this for myself.

Here are my final thoughts:

The hamlet music change is a welcomed change for me. I love that genre of music, as well as it brings back fond memories of going through the hamlet back in the days when they used to play the Beatles in England as recently as 2011. The music change doesn't do anything bad for me.I did say shows aren't typically supposed to change the theme of a hamlet, but since the genre of music is something I enjoy, I do not mind so much. However, I fully understand that the more classical English music was more themed to the hamlet. The thing is, I just don't care simply because I enjoy that genre. I know which one is more well themed, but I do not care if I am having a good time and that is what matters is if I and many other guests have a good time. The music actually makes me want to stay in the hamlet all day even. I feel more drawn to that area now.

The flags really do look great, as others have mentioned, they make it seem like something special is going on. Also, I love how they take up the empty space. I mean, I really do not care too much for a scenic view of clouds and blue sky when I am coming in and leaving; however, I think they just add to the many details of the area. They truly give me a more busy and bustling feeling to the hamlet.

I am disappointed in the bus. As I was told they were supposed to get a real double decker bus until money started to run out. I mean, i hope they can add details to is slowly over time, or quickly :p But yes it does look overly plain. It needs more dimensions. I would prefer not to see flat details added like signs, but rather dimensional details like window frames and borders of signage, etc. Along with the bus was the addition of two fake phone booths which also look very bland. I am still glad the other real booths have been left in the park in their spots safe and sound.

Union Snacks is amazing. It definitely is a bit crowded though. There really is not that much space in there. My advice is get what you are going to get and get out quick. They have three registers though which should help with lines. The freestyle machines offer what they do at other restaurants and places, more than what you would normally find in the park. There are three machines. A pizza sandwich of sorts is a new treat added there. They also sell boxed popcorn and other snacks. I am very interested in the themed shelving as it looks very neat and intricate.

The outside of the Globe look royal in a sense. I love the red carpets and the fence. I feel like they add that extra sense of british royalty especially with the "british guards" standing in front of the Globe. I really could have gone with a repainted front side, and a large sign. I am neutral with the colors currently. I don't mind them because I don't care about them, but in the same sense I also do not think they are disgusting or ugly. If the painted frontside and the swirls were temporary, I feel that would really keep the area cohesive, but like I said, I am neutral with them.

I love the new tables around Squires. I noticed this is a new trend and style going all over the park and while the small wooden ones fit theme wise best in England, I love the new metal ones just fine.

Overall, I like most of the area. It has a few downfalls that I don't care for or that I am neutral on, but other than those few small things I think the hamlet has a ton of new life and people may actually stop and spend time in the hamlet now.

The only thing that really bugs me personally is the neon paint. I think the flags are a little excessive in their sheer number, and I don't really care one way or another about the bus. As I've stated before, I love Union Snacks. Honestly, if they just used some more neutral colors on the London Rocks stuff, I'd be fine with pretty much everything they've done in BC.

I went today, and the globe actually looks better in person, if not still tacky.

The bus looks better than expected as well, but I feel like it needs some more details.

Union Snacks is real nice and I like it. The inside is just as lovely as the outside.

The sixties music is okay. I liked the classic music, but I see how it could get boring. The music they play now doesn't really affect me one way or another. I'm just neutral about it.

Well, we all know how Busch is late putting everything up, next thing you know, next week, we could have details put on the bus and a different shade of colors on the Globe, followed by more stuff or less stuff the weekend after that. They need to learn what they want, and they need to learn to do it before a deadline.

Jacques, that is a very blunt accusation. I would honestly like to know what deadline you are referring to as well as what details you think they have planned to add still? From my understanding everything is done and one weekend before the show is supposed to officially debut.

He is referring to how adjustments are made and things are added well after the beginning of an event, like in this case LR has technically been open to the public but things still need work. Still, this isn't much of an issue because sometimes you don't know how long some things will take and sometimes you need to wait until after everything is said and done to work on it. Other parks are guilty too, particularly KD who was still adding stuff to Planet Snoopy last year in July.

Flags don't look bad(a bit too many though), but everything else I'd unneeded. Bus is out of place and the neon paint flat out murders the area. But hey, LR is "okay", so it's all worth it I guess.

The bus and the phone booths still need to be themed and touched up and there are some additional touches to England that still need to happen prior to the "official" opening on Friday, May 23rd.
