Change is never good, that's why I still carry my pager and I am typing this on a commodore 64. Anyone want to come over and play Atari 3600? I have a whole stack of beta maxes we can watch. Oh, and I have Breakfast Club on laserdisk. CK, did you borrow my skinny tie and my aqua net? Sweep the leg, Johnny.
You're not the only one, but I'm quoting this post because it was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Seriously, these comments are getting terribly annoying. They add nothing to the conversation and only serve as subtle jabs at anyone who disagrees with your point of view. If you can defend the park's plans, quit hiding behind crap like this and do so. If not, maybe it's time to realize they could be wrong.
But they also could be right. You guys spend so much time on what could be than what is. It's like one of those movies that look terrible in the previews, then becomes a huge hit on DVD, all because some critic said, "don't go see it". Look at it from the parks point of view, you have this area that no one thinks about except the people on the forum. it is a meeting place for groups to go eat, and an entrance and exit. They want people to pay attention and notice the area, instead, most "GP" spend that walk through looking at their maps to go to the "fun" stuff. As much as it is hated here, BGW is now a full fledged business, and business has been bad, long before the "terrible changes". In order to run a business, you have to stay fresh and give people something new to be excited about. Does it always work, no(see Crystal Pepsi), but that is no reason to not even give it a chance. It is a very selfish attitude to think that we are the only customers and that our opinions should be the only ones the park hears. Many of you pass judgement before you see the finished product. Look at Blood Banquet, look back at your posts about Vlad. Many of you who now praise it, hated the idea. I am not jabbing your opinions, I am jabbing the doom and gloom of something that has not happened yet. You talk about my annoying posts that bring nothing to the conversation, yet you allow your friends to blatantly tell people they are wrong for having their opinions, and belittle them. I don't like posting stuff like this, I choose to be more lighthearted about my opinions and have fun. Life is too short, and there are way more important things going on in the world. So, why do I post here? I enjoy the park, it is my getaway. I like to think of myself as a progressive person, and I am not afraid of change. I think people, including myself, will enjoy the change, and I think it will breath life into a rather boring section of the park. Most people don't get excited walking into browns, greys and tans, they want color and excitment, which is why you see most people rush through to get to the "fun" parts. If I come off as telling people their opinions are wrong, then I apologize, because that is never my intent, it is more me ripping on the situation. Whenever I give my reviews on something after I have seen it, those are genuine. Just like the blog I sent in that never got posted, probably because I enjoyed Illuminights. I was sending it in to help out after you said you were "done". As a business, in my honest opinion, with what they have to work with right now, the park has done more right than wrong.
