I see those types of posts all the time "y'all are arguing about this really?!?"

I can positively say that those posts bring nothing to a conversation. And surely won't end it.

We all care about the park. Some care about it differently than others and if they want to bring that "issue" up then so be. Nic said it wasn't an end of the world issue and she felt it was minor but wanted to bring it up and further discuss with others to get their opinions.

I certainly didn't expect it to turn into this big an issue. I love AC, regardlss. I just love it more, when I am not confronted with those murals at the end of my ride.

I think Nic has made the point perfectly clear. Hatred, of the beastly mutation of humans, is justified. Good time for a return to topic? I rode AC for the 1st time since opening year last Saturday. I took a seat in the back (by recommendation) and HOLY Shniekies! This coaster is just plain fun! I had no memory whatsoever of the sensations that this coaster delivers, so I felt like it was the 1st time riding it. I bet there's a few of you out there that would like that feeling again :) My recommendation to achieve this: Wait 15 years before riding again!

Another tip: ride it for the first time after a hiatus in the dark. I hadn't ridden it in over a year once and for whatever reason I waited until the end of the day to get on it. It is really scary and awesome when you can't see or remember what is coming next on AC.

Unrelated: we had QQs last weekend and they would only let us ride in the second row (this is why I try not to use QQs on AC). I am a devout follower of the always ride in the back car philosophy. Anyway, it was a very different, and in my opinion less fun, ride up front. Tony thought the "floating" was interesting. I just felt cheated.

AC is the only one we ride from the back...and it's sad now, because occasionally going from the front (name to uphold, after all) is really anti-climactic nowadays. Still a Great Ride...

It should be noted that the vines that grew over those posters did some extensive damage to the pictures. Those vines don't "grow back" in the spring, they're not like flowers, they constantly grow. It's the parks fault for not cutting them down once they got near the pictures.

I have to wonder if 2006 was the last time it was painted. :(

Creeper vines are a b!utch...

"Problems:
These deciduous vines spread by attaching themselves with aerial roots and holdfasts. The aerial roots grip rough surfaces, such as tree bark or trellises, and weave across the entire surface. The holdfasts are tendrils with adhesive discs that attach and harden like cement to brick, masonry and other surfaces. These suckers attach the vine permanently to houses and other structures. The vines, growing 30 to 50 feet long, work under sidings or roof shingles. The vine's weight eventually breaks down shingles or wood siding, especially in the winter when ice collects on the vine network. Attempting to pull off the vine damages paint and siding because the holdfasts stick to the surface."

I think I'll just put this right here ;)  Enjoy :D

I filmed this on the last Apollo's Chariot train dispatch of the day on March 15 ( Preview day ) with my Pivothead HD video recording sunglasses. ( sorry, second row was as good as I could get )But don't worry, my next on ride POV will definitely be front row :) The video might look like it's in bad quality at first, but if you click on the gear icon in the video window and click on 1080p that should fix the problem :)

Waiting all winter to ride it is long enough for me. We usually ride in the back, occasionally front, multiple times each visit and can never get enough of it. There are just so many factors that make this ride as great as it is, to want to continuously ride it. AC is definitely one of my top favorite rides, no matter which seat.

I'd love to see them incorporate both designs. Maybe they could just swap out the third train and redesign it with the concept art you've shown here. It'd probably be an unnecessary use of funds with the current state of the park, but it would be fabulous.
