anyone know why Apollo’s mid course kicks in a lot now?)
I believe this has to do with the computer system upgrade it got for its 20th. It was probably programmed to trim more based on the speed of the train better. The only part that bothers me is that it occasionally over trims and absolutely lurches you forward into your harness sometime.

This thing ran like a bat out of hell tonight what the hell (off topic: anyone know why Apollo’s mid course kicks in a lot now?)View attachment 30486
Anyone with actual experience or knowledge please correct me if I'm wrong. I believe the mid-course varies on how fast the train is running through the first half of the ride and how much it needs to slow the ride down for the second half.

So, the more gnarly the first half of the ride is - the harder the mid-course brakes slam you.

With Apollo's not being open during Christmas Town, are there any thoughts that the ride may be getting a re-paint or is it just going to be receiving some TLC?

25 years ago today......Fabio was goosed! It is the silver anniversary! His version of the story is BS.
Not sure this link will work.
I have pointed out before that he tried to sue the park for the incident claiming it could easily happen again which wouldn't be the case if it was the camera mount. Two news footage of the event briefly shows the train returning to the station before it's clear he is hurt. You can see the camera mount it is undamaged and not covered in blood and feathering as one would expect if it had collided with a goose.

I have a feeling this 'test' and the AC incident are related...

The Bobby Fingers video from this shoot is the definition of art.
