I remember when my mom and dad bought me the Summer 1999 poster at the original gift shop. I loved it more than life itself, and it survived many moves unframed despite the wrinkles and creases. I cherish it to this day.

For humorous effect, I had to place my framed Tempesto picture as close to it as possible to pay homage to reality. ?
That's AWESOME! ?

Took my daughter on the ride Saturday night, forgot how much of a wake up call AC can be on a brisk night! And riding at night is the best time to do it, period.

Nighttime is great, but riding it just at sunset is breathtaking. You have to crane your neck a bit, but checking out the James from the lift hill is great.

Is Fabio going to be part of the 20th celebration?
With almost 100% certainity Fabio will never be invited back to the park. Not only was the opening a smashing failure Fabio had some pretty harsh words for the park after it opened on national TV. He stated something to the fact of someone could be killed if they get hit by another goose. This was actually replayed on the local news just recently in connection with the anniversary. All 3 local tv stations and a few local newspapers ran stories on the Fabio incident recently and the actual 20th anniversary was barely mentioned.

Actually little known fact is that Fabio actually wanted to become BGWs spokesman after this event but the park wasn't willing to pay him what he wanted. The only thing that he ultimately demanded of the park was to install the netting along the sides of the drop.

There certainly is a chance that Fabio could come back if the park was open to paying him enough.

Exactly....I couldnt see them ever wanting him back for anything after his comments. Rightfully so IMO...those geese didnt show up opening day for the ride, its something the park should have known about and it was a problem for quite a number of years.

Source? Based off the interviews he gave, (there is one in the video I liked earlier) he seemed ready to be done with the park, suing them and all. Hell he called to have AC torn down.
He apparently calmed down a bit after the incident and was so happy with how the park treated him after the incident.

I don't really have an article I can point. That's just the story I was told by park leadership who were directly involved 20 years ago and know about the aftermath from the park side.

I wonder how much they'd have to pay Fabio to add a carnival game dunk tank where you throw geese at a photo of Fabio's face instead of a baseball at a target...
