He does not sound happy here.
There can be a huge difference between how he initially felt and how he felt a weeks and months later. You'll notice that he never actually sued BGW. That's because BGW went out of their way to ensure that everything was smoothed over with him and it worked.

According to the people who were involved he ultimately offered to do PR and stuff for the park but he wanted more than they were willing to pay so it because happened.

Could I have been lied to? I suppose but the people who told me this story have no reason to lie and had involvement in the aftermath on the park side.

I find it funny though that in one interview he said “This was not a freak accident, and it will happen again.” Well guess what hasn’t happened again??

Only because the park made changes? If he had not got hit, then the park would not have done anything and it probably would have happened to some guest down the line instead. But since they added netting and water cannons (which i think are gone now?), it hasn't happened again.

i was riding apollos and going over the second drop on the river water was shot out of them. they stiill work

Whoa... this is the first I've heard of these water cannons. What's the story here? I've never noticed.

The park thought it would be cool if people could pay to shoot water at riders on Apollo's.

It was a terrible idea. And they moved the coinop controllers to Pompeii. The plumbing for the canons, however, was left in place.

I, for one, refuse to accept this story as canon. As to the water cannons, long may they scare geese from Fabio, and everyone else!
