Just to set the record straight, it is a French manicure with a silver glitter base and blue tips. There is also a light glitter overlay across the entire nail. It was done with OPI gelpolish.

Looks like they're in business. But nothing available in the Statix category or "Apollo" by search. https://www.coasterdynamix.com

I still have my old Apollo's Chariot Statix model sitting in my room back home. It is quite the collectible, well worth the price tag all those years ago.

This coaster does look very familiar.

Edit: the Dive Coaster is also a carbon copy of Sheikra at BGT. I wouldn't be surprised if SEAS told them they couldn't use the names anymore.

This is just a rumor that I’ve heard from a few people, but supposedly Coaster Dynamix was asked to make nano coaster models for the SEAS parks. Obviously the park has already made models for the statix series so this seemed like a set deal. However, the park for some reason pulled out hence the generic names but similarity to Apollo’s Chariot.

So I was driving around ODU and I noticed they were having a job fair. Funny, 20 years ago they had one and Busch Gardens was there. I was in my 2nd year in college looking for a job. Every booth was crowded but the BG booth had light traffic so I went to see what they offered. Next thing I know I'm a ride operator for Apollo's Chariot. Crazy stuff.

The Daily Press covered the announcement on Sept 5, 1998.

A little construction update on January 23, 1999.

The build-up and Fabio appear March 26, 1999.

Oh dear...I mean Oh goose...coverage the day after opening.

A full "look" at AC and the park on April 2.

In case you were wondering (or maybe not)...the number 1 movie at the box office March 30, 1999 was that classic "Forces of Nature"
