It almost sounds like you're all going to a funeral which i will not be unfortunately attending. You act like you've never really been prepared for this and you know when u get there you're gonna let all of your emotions out. That's what happened at my mom's dad's funeral in August...:ashamed:

But seriously its kinda funny to hear you talk lik someone's died, yet something is being born, and we are going to celebrate, not weep... (I sound like a priest or somethin...)
 
Got one of thoes invitations too and so wanted to go but have alot of things to get done and couldnt justify the extra trip :( At least now I know the invite was legit... they really need to work on that page's setup it didnt look very put toghter. Sadly I will not even be able to follow the news as it is released as I will be in the woods with no net access working on a future homesite.

Anyways you have a nice site and forum :) Finally got around to signing up so I can join in some.

Glad to have you here, good luck with the site clearing and whatnot, the info will be waiting for you when you get back to the world.
 
So what's the word with this? is there going to be a twitter tag? or will you guys be posting updates on facebook?
 
We'll go with the twitter tag #bgw2011. Short, simple, easy to type on a phone. As far as Facebook, I won't be updating the fan page, but you can go to live.bgwfans.com.
 
does live.bgwfans.com bring in the twitter feed for that tag?

and is that just what this website is doing or are there other tags that are going to be used?

This site is pretty much just there for people that don't have Twitter, but want to read the live tweets. It's just an auto-refreshing feed.
 
Assuming I can get AT&T service in the Festhaus (Chris, do you get 3G in there?) you'll get the info as it comes out on the forums as well. If not, Fur Dozy and I will fall back on texting to my Twitter account: @The_Swiftman
 
Don't expect to get service in there on AT&T. My iPhone always loses a signal in there (I always sit near the middle). But my iPad holds up better than my phone in the signal area.
 
I'm glad to see the hash-tag you guys are using for tomorrow. (I guess I should mention my Twitter account is gottalooksharp.) I was starting to wonder what we should be using. Do you think they'll tell us something official to try and get trending? I have Verizon, and I was worrying about service in the Festhaus. I'm going to bring my extra BB battery so I don't have to worry about using it up and being totally worthless too early in the day. If AT&T guys can't get on the forums in the Festhaus but I can, if it's okay and not treading on toes, I could post stuff on here. I kind of assume we'll be sitting at the same table/area.

Is anybody doing anything with Foursquare? I had thought about making a check-in at the site of future attractions depending on what they announce. Something like... "Busch Gardens: Drop Tower Coming May 2011." Or I could be off the deep end.

Now back to my big issue: what to wear! :rolleyes:
 
Between Fur Dozy and I we will have a Sprint-network phone, a Verizon phone, and an AT&T Air Card. Hopfully we can get something to work. I know one of my friends always has trouble with Virizon in there. I guess we'll just hope for the best.

See yall have those invites. I am going to be trying to get to the park around 8:45/9 to get a guaranteed in. My little brother appreciates the twitter number Chris since he cannot go. He said he'd rather read that than get texts from me.
 
I'll be there with my son. But yeah, I've never gotten service (Sprint) in the Festhaus. It's a complete dead zone for me. Oh well, I'll be tweeting before and after.
 
i can tell you just in general the service inside the festhaus is awful regardless of what network you have
 
Why, are you planning to show up? Are you going to sit on a bench about twenty feet away from the meeting place just watching us? I'm starting to get scared now...
