btw, Nice coaster count. I might be closer if I didn't live in downtown hampton and have work, school, family, and other stuff to see to. I still dont think this is an Aqua Loops. I dont like to be a downer but it just doesn't make sense to me.

From what I gathered as far as FB, it went to the people who replied they were coming in the main message the other day. They then sent out the individual invitations to each of us. I think they did some via email and possibly Twitter for some other people on other platforms. It sounds like a pretty sweet deal.
well i hope its an aqua loop... that would make me like wcusa more considering i dont have any interest in it at all...

Anyway, yes, I did get one. They sent them out with the understanding that the people who wanted them had the ability and the want to broadcast live from the event using various forms of social media.

From the looks of the people on the message, they handed them out to a few people who happened to be active on the BGW FB fan-page. If the BGW FB sent an invite to every single one of their friends, that was 35 people. Facebook is a form of social media, too, and I know I have Twitter and Foursquare, and had previously responded to BGW's message asking for people to "live-Tweet" an event. I don't see how that's any different from anyone else who got a "social media" invite.

Ha, no, that would've been a complete cluster! When I first got the message, I thought it was the generic pass-holder invite, then I realized it wasn't. I actually PMed Chris to see if he thought it was legit because I was surprised. (Thank you!) It's worth taking the drive down from NJ if I know I'm going to get in... and now I know why BG Social Media wanted to be my friend on FB.
The invites were sent out to select people, then a few more people from the Facebook page got an invite based purely on a random pull. Many many people asked to be invited, but of course there are space limitations. There were a couple batches of invites that went out. Primary then Secondary.
As I'm sure Swift and Chris will attest, the Emails they got started a bit differently than what other invitees received. There will be plenty of room on Saturday for people to see the announcement, but people will be turned away because they were too late in line. For those people, there will be other avenues to gain the same access, though after the annoucement has been made.
I hope this clarifies some things here.
