RE: 2012 Coaster

If they are going to change anything they should start with the name.

(Sorry, I'm well aware that I have been complaining about the name for a long time now.)

RE: 2012 Coaster

If anything has changed, don't believe the nonsense that it's because we leaked the plans. It sounds like the park just wants to make us public enemy #1. "Hey look, those plans were wrong! They must be fakes! Don't listen to BGWFans!" Similar things have been happening for years at parks all over the country- heck, it happened at BGT with Cheetah Hunt. A park and coaster company don't change coaster plans because something gets out- it just doesn't happen.

RE: 2012 Coaster

Yes and it started way before we leaked those 2012 plans. We don't have a problem with trying to work with them, but we aren't going to let them micro-manage us like they were trying to.

RE: 2012 Coaster

Like Swiftman said, for all we know it could be that they cut the drop section due to some issue and want to blame us for it. Or they could be just tweaking the themeing, or they could just be giving false info to certain people to figure out if they have any leaks. Who really knows, all we can do is speculate.

From one of my sources Busch Gardens have modified small features in there plans because of the plans being stole, anyways ive also heard that Verbolten is the confirmed name going with its Forbinen forest and lightning theme.

The plans weren't stolen. I'd been told a while ago that small changes had been made, but not that it was because of a small fan site posting images of plans. There are a huge number of reasons plans are modified, this site isn't one of them. To think any different would be a delusion of grandeur regarding the actual reach of the site.

Not saying your source was lying, but they are most certainly mistaken.

RE: 2012 Coaster

The park isn't just going to announce the ride out of the blue. There will be a massive ad campaign and buildup before they make the announcement and even then the announcement itself be huge. A show in a way that will host dozens of media outlets.

They better get started on the buildup then, of course I guess the buildup has already started, 3,400 posts here and nothing even official yet.

RE: 2012 Coaster

I didn't really expect them to come right out and announce the ride. But I'd hope they'd start releasing an official teaser site or teaser campaign sometime soon.

Believe me, we have quite enough "build up". I can't take anymore of it.

I didnt say they did that, all i heard was that one of the employees stole the plans and when that happened they changed the right very very slightly i guess just to still have a small surprise or something.

Just to sum things up, i didnt say they changed it because of us, i was saying it to inform of possible changes due to the plans being stolen by an employee. But all thats behind us.

I hope it is not the same source that said MT didn't have impact on the ground.

RE: 2012 Coaster

I'm glad you posted it- nothing wrong with posting it. Just defending the site and Chris' and I's actions on behalf of the site.

Incorrect. No one stole the plans.

RE: 2012 Coaster

The plans that we saw, the plans that were put out for bidding the project were not detailed plans. There were items that had to be carried on an allowance because they didn't want those details out. The major thing were the actual number and placement of the footers. What we have seen is not the exact layout, I'm sure it's pretty close but not what it will actually be. We were told who ever was awarded the project would get the complete and detailed plans for final pricing afterwards. So changes weren't made because the plans were leaked, they had this course of action in effect for that from the beginning.

RE: 2012 Coaster

Thats interesting Zoomy... Someone had mentioned before how the company that won the bid would receive detailed exact plans.... I wonder what they are:huh: I know we can only speculate. But I have a couple ideas.

1) Is it out of the realm of possibility that the ride will utilize more of the outside portion of the terrain than what the plans show? BBW had a couple helixes, why couldnt this new ride have some features either before or after the event building section...

2) I guess this is just an extension to 1, but the broken bridge element; We know it will use those footers after the drop and probably follow the BBW's old path (maybe). But before the bridge element, we know from the plans that the path does NOT follow the old BBW. Can there be some surprises in store outside the event building???
