Here lies the memories of Scream
Memories that we now can only dream
Houses filled with evil demons
Sent young and old out screamin'
Scare zones throughout the park
Nobody was safe after dark
A magical event that is no more
Few scares and no magical allure
Forever buried by the powers that be
Never will be Howl-O-Scream for me
 
Here lies Hasting,
We thought it was ever lasting.
However it went away,
It did not stay,
and is now Killareny,
With an Illuminights show worse than Barney!
 
Nic: I don't have Twitter. Their loss. Anyone else can post mine, though. Here is a more positive one for the park to ponder:

With the snail that slithers
And the turtle that glitters,
And the wonderful increase in litter,
The changes all around
From the sights to the sounds
Are what you guys think make it better!
For who doesn't love
A plastic lightning bug
Or Elmo's big, furry hug
And the Killarney construction workers clanging above?
The Beatles will make a connection
As did France's purple erection,
And did the new fairy tales in the park's German section.
The bowling shirts make things cool,
And Mach Tower works great as a stool,
As Howl-O-Scream welcomes those in preschool.
Here lies that boring Country of Old,
And here comes a new story to be told!
For all that glitters must be gold...

Whew! That would be one tall tombstone!

Awesome you guys rock on this. Nic thanks for posting this thread, next we will have to do A OWE IT TO POETRY BGWFANS WE ARE, STILL SEEING HER STAR, THIS IS OUR SATISFACTION, next thread a POEM TO YOUR FAVORITE ATTRACTION. (Submitted via twitter for you) just took a few times due to twitter length of characters on mobile

They're not supposed to be about dead things since the park wants the epitaph on YOUR tombstone. They don't have to rhyme either as long as they're witty.

I entered mine Nic.

And yes. I don't understand their process for choosing a winner. Last year they had all of these Instagram picture contests throughout HOS, and they picked the lamest ones imaginable for winners. I dunno. Maybe they have friends there or something.
