A little something popped up at National Roller Coaster Museum today.
Weren't most of those mainly because the idea of a "graceful recovery" wasn't a thing? Essentially, any roll back at all was an automatic evac, correct?I’m not even sure the number of times we evac’d Volcano in a season, it was pretty much a daily thing.
This is why I miss LIMs. I never care about last rides of the night but Volcano was one that I always tried for because if you waited for the front seat you could often end up being the only person on the train and that ride was bonkers....Volcano’s launch system wasn’t dynamic in the sense that it would adjust its power output, it just always ran at max power.
im more of a lsm giy myself, it makes me feel like the ride is grabbing by the stomach and taking me on an epic journey into space and time. why do you like LIMS better? This is why I miss LIMs. I never care about last rides of the night but Volcano was one that I always tried for because if you waited for the front seat you could often end up being the only person on the train and that ride was bonkers....
I just had a similar realization that BBW has now been gone from BGW for 10 years.I just realized it’s been over 4 years since Volcano’s last public operating day, May 6, 2018.
12 years it got removed in 2009I just had a similar realization that BBW has now been gone from BGW for 10 years.
My last ride on Volcano was on Family and Friends preview day in 2014, and it was a rollback! I'll never forget it.
Now that we're a few years out from Volcano's demise, did we ever get a definitive reason as to why the ride had to close so suddenly and never opened again? Was it an issue with the ride, the mountain, or both?
