If it's really for sale, whether that happens affects how it's dismantled.
I think there was a tendency to go pessimistic when this was first announced and presume the end of a coaster there, or the mountain. Since then I've noticed some of the better themed coasters could give plenty of reason for envy on the part of someone at the park or CF, so just maybe they think they can do better. Surely they were thinking seriously about that before we were, as skeptical as we should be they will act on it.
Maybe people have a greater attachment to the mountain/volcano than the ride itself? In that case it's not even that critical what they actually do with it, just that the ride CAN be replaced. At the same time, looking pretty and attention to detail with the theming couldn't have been the "formula" of the ride's success, because it wasn't. It wasn't that the theming was the best, but that it was very high thrill for being themed at all, at the needed scale. Also, a simple concept.
