Well, when the park had that poll for names for the ride, I believe most of them were autobahn related. Plus, when someone mentions autobahn, they typically think of cars speeding down a highway in Germany.

I believe the Entertainment department now has a say(sometimes the final say) with lighting and special effects on rides like DarKastle and Verbolten. They did supposedly supervise the lighting. In my opinion, they have way too much power if they can take that much control of any rides. What if one of them hates rides?

From a business standpoint, that sounds about right to me(although I don't know how it was done in the past) Who else would handle themeing other than the Ent department? It all kind of overlaps with the shows. How was it handled before the sale? Was there a themeing dept of some sort?

Wow, that's just abuse of powers, I can't believe the higher ups are letting the Ent. Department do that. Before you know it Scott will have more power than Carl.

It's not corrupt. It's just makes sense. The Entertainment Department is suppose to provide the overall theming for the park. It is their specialty. That said, some people do not have the right mindset that should be used.

I don't think it's much of a problem. Certainly not as much as Ent being in control of hamlet theming and atmosphere 365 days a year.

Anyway, this is probably getting off topic. Verbolten anyone?

It actually doesn't make sense. BGW has a very similar way of operating, like our government does. Each department is a branch, and they all have there expressed powers, the powers that are specifically given to them, then they have implied powers, the powers that they have to use to carry out their expressed powers, and then there's reserved powers, powers that aren't given to any of them. Now would it make sense for congress to take the supreme court's power to appeal court cases? No, because that would be an abuse of powers, they can't steal powers from another branch. Truthfully that's how I see it, I believe in the power of our government, and you'd be surprised how all types of things like businesses are set up to resemble our government. That's how I see it, as an abuse of powers, they shouldn't be allowed to take another department's expressed power, it wouldn't make sense, and it's unfair and corrupt.

Really congress has the power to hear and appeal court cases? Interesting, I've never heard that before.

Business is NOTHING like our government for the simple reason that businesses have to make money(profits) and the government is given money(taxes). It's a WHOLE different concept. If businesses we're ran like our Government, no one would be in business more than a day.

There is no real right or wrong in the business world, only what works and makes you money. From an efficiency standpoint, why would maintenance(wrench turners) have anything to do with theming(creative). You keep the creative people in one place and the fixers in the other.

... Verbolten?

Separation of powers at BGW is an interesting topic- just not for this thread. If you want to talk about it, Everything Else -> New Thread

That is just pathetic.

And for the record, Germans make excellent cars, but they don't have the soul that Italian cars do, or the charm of British cars.

Land Rovers can be costly maintenance nightmares and there is absolutely nothing charming about that.  I have friends and family that have owned those and they regret ever buying them.  Some Jaguar models are just as bad.

Back to Verbolten.... I got wolf theme on my first ride on Thursday and I didn't see any eyes trying to mimic Stuart from Despicable Me.
